After my hair is done by my beautician I never use heat in my hair I would use heat almost every day till I found out it was damaging my ends so for 20 something years I don't ever use heat until I see my beautician

Nice to hear someone else say 360! I used the revair for my blow dry, and 360-70 for the flat iron and the hair came out smooth, and reverted EASY

I have low density (fine) hair & 250 is all I need & I blow dry with a cool setting. Find what works for YOUR hair. All that heat they use is unnecessary.

Excellent teaching video. I appreciate you informing the viewers that Ceramic is the best choice for fine hair rather than Titanium. Unfortunately, a lot of people are not aware of this. Titanium heat which is unbelievably hot is best managed by a trained professional or you can take your chances. I personally do not apply heat to my hair often (2021 was the last time), but I educated myself and purchased a couple of 100% Ceramic (higher price point) not just coated flat irons, also intentionally purchased Ceramic blow dryers. The temperature I stick with is 360 degrees, and my hair comes out very straight. I have fine, yet very dense hair and it works.

THANK YOU FOR THIS !! my hair is like this , its very curly and kind of in between, immediately when I saw her hair in the natural state I was shocked I have never seen anyone with a curly pattern that is almost exact as mine. My hair is really soft, curly and I have always struggled with keeping a straight look and not getting heat damage , color does not do well with my hair so I dont do it. But watching this video has opened my eyes! love it!

My best advice stay out of salons, I stopped going because they messed up my hair and didn't curl back it now looks like I have a relaxer

I was heat training my hair getting it straightened once per month and then a protective style in between. The last time I went to the salon I got an olaplex treatment and my hair reverted the next day (which never happens). Ever since then when I straighten it the correct way it doesn’t stay straight and ends up poofy . It is also not as soft anymore more stiff etc. Do you have any recommendations. I appreciate your channel!

Thanks for your content- super informative! What kind of flat iron are you using?

do you think getting a silk press once a week is ok if I’m properly using heat & deep conditioning/cleansing? & do you think that will help with length retention? because my scalp needs to be cleaned every week and I love my hair to be straight 💕
@shelltalkshair Жыл бұрын
That would be to much heat. The best routine I’ve seen is getting a silk press about 4-6x a year.

I have to wash my hair once a week as well but love my hair to be straight. What I’ve found works best is to use the Color Wow dream coat spray and the smaller REVLON round brush hair dryer. Then I wrap it in a silk scarf. The next day it’s straight and silky. I only use my flat irons if I have a special occasion. My hair has grown a lot!

Or try a roller set and wrap it. Weekly silk presses are a bit much for any hair type.

@@NewOrleansGirlThank you for posting your regimen about blow drying with no irons. My scalp needs to be cleansed once a week as well. But the iron is a killer. I don’t have the revlon brush styler, but I could try to work on my blow dry technique to get straighter roots. My roots revert so easily. It’ll probably take hours, but guess that’s what has to be done to avoid damage.

What does diy treatments and excessively wetting hair have to do with heat damage ?

Nothing. You should see some Real Naturals that have a head full of glory. 💯 Notice her hair is struggling....

Too many split ends left. I don't know why Bw hold on to split ends. Especially paying a so called professional to get rid of them, smh. Why I learned to do my own silk presses & how to trim my ends. 💯
