Using just a pan, cook this delicious zichar classic Hotplate Tofu dish at home. Everyone can handle this recipe!

Crispy, silky smooth egg tofu paired with flavourful stir-fry minced meat and fresh prawns over creamy egg - this egg tofu recipe is the perfect wholesome meal for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients:
2 tubes of egg tofu (cut into bite sizes)
3 medium size eggs (beaten)
200g minced meat
1½ tsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp shaoxing wine
1 tsp flat sole fish powder
Dash of pepper
1 tsp cornstarch
8 medium size prawns (deshelled & deveined)
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced shallots
½ tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp cube carrots
4 small dried mushrooms (pre-soaked and reserved water)
8 medium size prawns (deshelled & deveined)
Scallions (garnishing)
Chopped chillies (fine & tiny)
Dash of pepper (upon serving)
2 tbsp cornstarch slurry
Sauce mixture:
1 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 ½ tbsp shaoxing wine
1 tsp sugar

What can I replace Shaoxing Wine with for Halal version? and whats that Fish powder thingy? NTUC/Giant/ShengShiong sells those?

You can use apple cider vinegar to substitute shaoxing wine and sole fish powder is used for soups though you can use any fish powder of your choice! They also sell it in those supermarkets :)

Got cook this before but nena add prawns. Also served it in a non-stick pan cos' no hotplate mah. Yummy! 😅 Ps sprinkled some Thailand sweet radish just before serving. That day in good mood 😜
