No problem, Tish! I remember early on when I began watching your vids that you stated clearly you were exploring intuitive cooking/eating. At the time you happened to be plant based, but you are continually listening to what your body/intuition are telling you! This decision is completely in alignment with that. Respect!

The abuse in some of these comments is inappropriate. Tish is having very serious health issues. I too had a serious B12 deficiency at the end of 2015. I was severely anaemic. I had issues with cognitive impairment. I almost died. Literally. I still have issues with malabsorption due to having no stomach acid. I'm also lactose intolerant. I broke two molars and had issues with bleeding gums. My doctor told me to eat organ meats and red meat regularly, as well as taking supplements. I have no Intrinsic Factor so I have to have my B12 injected every 7 weeks. *Supplements can only do so much*. Tish is still eating a predominantly plant based diet. She has added in limited amounts of animal products to address her health issues. Not everyone can metabolise alternative sources of B12 and calcium. Is she supposed to die or lose all her teeth or development osteoporosis to keep you all happy? Obviously some of you don't care why she has made the changes. If you hate what she is doing, unsubscribe. Leave. But keep your vitriol to yourself.

First I have to say, BEEN THERE. My teeth were falling apart (among may other things, my depression was UNREAL) and even then I didn’t clock in because of my denial. When I did clock in it was a little too late because it was so much damage already done. But what I will say, better late than never. Still grateful to have come to the realisation that life isn’t black and white and BALANCE is the underlying concept in all things. We love you, let whatever haters go elsewhere. There are so many factors to consider with diet... I've been eating plant based for 2 years and had poor digestion with terrible gas. Every vegan was saying this was normal and that it would disappear. It didn't so I switched to a low carb, moderate protein and high fat way of eating. As soon as I cut out fruit (which I ate loads of on a daily basis) all gas problems disappeared. I also think too much fruit contributed to the poor health of my teeth because I ate so much. I had more energy and was getting rid of waste literally 3 to 5 times a day. The inflammation in my body disappeared I felt really good. I also know that heavy metal toxicity has a lot to answer for especially when it comes to brain fog and memory issues... A lot of people who eat meat are also vitamin deficient in B12, D3, Iron, Iodine to name a few which are all essential for balanced health.
@sAMiAm15 жыл бұрын
Was she eating a healthy animal protein diet? Usually most meat eaters don’t eat majority of healthy foods meanwhile it’s the opposite with plant based eaters (besides me when I was one. I love vegan junk still too lol)

I was vegan for almost one year, after a 10 day fast I did that really cleared up my skin and seemed to make my body glow. However, I got sick, my skin got worst, I was dancing and walking all over the place because of living in New York and I was chronically fatigued and really really exhausted. I had a health book on going Vegan and I too thought I was doing it right and getting all I needed. Fast forward, my right toe started to feel numb and my health was actually worst. I met this guy in Brooklyn and we randomly talked about Veganism and he proceeded to tell me, he got viscerally sick and was following the "Eating Right 4 Your Body" diet. It was amazing because deep down I knew my diet was making me sick. So I started with fish, and the day I ate it I literally felt every cell in my body explode and thank me with gratitude. It was like my body was saying "Yes." But it was a blessing that I was vegan because I found out my acne was caused by gluten. I also found out I was allergic to the hormones in chicken and for that reason don't take the flu shot. I'm gluten free now, my acne is balanced. I use Colloidal Silver soap and drink lots of water. I also have been able to stop taking acne medication. I mean it's just amazing the journey and how God has allowed me to see what to do and what not to do in connection to my body. I was able to get pregnant without any complications. All-in-all, plant-based can work for many due to their blood type. But everyone can't follow the same diet. I think at the end of it all you said it right, "Listen to your body."

with all due respect if you doing HOT yoga, and running three times a week more than likely you were never eating enough calories from plant-based foods. A lot of people make this mistake, they keep eating the same portion size they were before switching to plant-based and usually, this leads to terrible results. A prime example is when you eat animal products they are usually higher in calories and carbs so you feel a huge difference because you were not eating enough, to begin with. I hope you do find your health and happiness.

Tish, yes you have to follow what your body positively responds to. NO JUDGEMENT HERE SISTER. I hate labels. And when people asked me if I am a Vegan. My response is: I am a conscious eater with 80 or 90 percent plant base. As it was if you grew up in the Caribbean as my parents. Occasionally I would have an egg dish with vegetable. If I choose to eat a savory curry dish with chicken. Then I will eat very little rice with it. A lot people do no understand the science of food. Animal protein, no carbs. Mixing different fruit with vegetables are a no no and so on. You are still finding your space. It's okay! Also, one last thing. Because the way food is grown and process I don't rely on food for my source of nutrition. again, as a child of Caribbean parents I drink a lot of herbs (bush)teas which give me the health supplement that I don't get from food. Keep making those wonderful dishes. I' m a bigger fan then ever and look forward to watching what delicious creative food you come up with in your new found revelation.

This is just as good as any time to also mention that more than a disproportionate amount of my patients that have developed MS have either had a long stretch of time being plant based or vegan or still are ...operating word; disproportionate (not everyone) There are very specific cholesterols that ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FROM ANIMAL and that is (1,25 dihydroxycholicalciferol) This is a precursor to MANY hormones but most importantly is the foundation that created the myelin sheath ...the protective fatty layer of the nerve system ...when this isn’t present, it recedes and causes MS like symptoms or MS It’s important that we eat a good portion of plants but I always tell my patients, even if you’re vegan… You should get a piece of meat at least once per month… Just to avoid those conditions… Thank you so much you’re amazing and I hope this helps

To know that I am not alone is a huge eye opener and Ive been thinking about going back to some animal foods. This may be confirmation for me, the brain is so important and it is so scary to eat so healthy and still deplete ourselves of nutrients that we need for functioning. I strive to be healthy and live a balanced lifestyle so if that includes some animal foods so be it..

Thank you, Tish. I am 69 years old and instinctively I have never gone vegetarian. I love fresh vegetables which are a major portion of my diet but I need meat protein - I know that instinctively. Thank you for pointing out that it is up to each of us to discover what foods are the best choice for our individual needs. Once in a great while I need to have a steak (ribeye) sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms - don’t ask me why- and a little baked potato, and I literally FEEL better. I can’t explain it. I do eat organic chicken and turkey and occasionally salmon. You are right that people need to “listen” to their bodies. Everyone’s needs are different. I wish that nutritionists would catch up and come from a wholistic, spiritual, and common sense approach to diet. Blessing/thanking Source, what or whoever that is for individuals, makes a difference. Thank you for sharing, Tish. ♥️

Hey Tish, thanks for your honesty in this video. Just thought I’d add a different perspective as I’m a dentist. I spent 6 months training on an oral medicine clinic- which is a discipline of medicine and dentistry- and this aspect of dentistry specifically focuses on manifestions that occur in the mouth. You would be surprised what our mouth tells us about the condition of our bodies. The thing I was fascinated with, was how important diet and the elimination of certain foods affected peoples overall health - which either manifested in brittle teeth, dry mouths, ulcers in the mouth, fungal infections etc. In saying all this, although I work in dentistry and will always advise evidence based dentistry - I do believe that we can adopt some holistic approaches to health also. But there must be a balance. So for example for those who swear by and love ACV the damage it can do long term to the enamel on our teeth could be fatal- yet I understand that ACV has great benefits for the body. Just everything in moderation. The more in tune we are with our bodies the better for us long term. I am glad that you are doing what is best for you. If your interested I would recommend a book called The Dental Diet by Dr Steven Lin - highly informative book. Also, I would also recommend a toothpaste called Zendium ( available on Amazon) from what you described in the video it seems like it would be a great help given your symptoms. If you’d like me to send you some free samples of the toothpaste just let me know- I’d be more than happy to. I’m still gonna watch your videos and support just as much as before. You have my full support xx

I NEVER had problems with my teeth until my 3rd or 4th year Plant based. 6 teeth removes because I didn’t want fillings or root canals. I also deal with low B12, anemia, D and folic acid. I also had periods where I had to change every 30 minutes and wear three forms of protection. All that began after becoming plant based. Tish, I appreciate you and all that you take the time to do here in this space. Take care and be well! I’m not ready to switch from plant based but I respect whatever your decision! My pastor is 98 years old, gets around better than I do and he and his 95 year old wife are just as active as any 50 year old person and they eat whatever! Fresh & Sassy Plant-Based Living. To answer your question. The water here in the UK is totally filled with fluoride. Synthetic fluoride that is, which can lead to neurological problems. Dental issues. Thyroid problems. Osteoarthritis. The list is endless. That's if you are ingesting it in great quantities.
