I learned that it depends; it is indeed in the case of weapons, that the damage gets maximized if the modules are adjacent to the main weapon, whereas for everything else, it's like this video says. I don't fully understand it.

In the hyperdrive example, you put 5 on the main page and 3 on the tech page. You'll get higher stats by making 2 squares (4 on each page). Also, I would be interested in which upgrades you think or worth the inventory space and which aren't.

Here's another freebie: buying upgrades for the Scanner on your Multi-Tool can increase the units you get for flora and fauna scans drastically. If you already like scanning animals when you're exploring planets, this makes you lots of easy money. Adjacency bonuses may increase scan range or rewards further, but I'm not certain.

Hi Khraze, There is a lot of good information here but with the title, I would have thought you would have gone into a bit more advanced info, this is more a basic upgrade guide, not a min/max one. For instance addressing a topic like, what stat should I prioritize for X weapon upgrade in order to achieve max DPS and what order should I rank other said stats. Here is an example of advice on min / maxing The Pulse Spitter: 1 Forget about getting rid of the ricochet enable stat, in almost every video that even slightly addresses min/maxing they talk about getting rid of it right off the bat like its the most important thing to do, it's not. Actually its the last thing you should work on removing because you get more bang for your buck/nanites DPS wise working on getting high percentages on almost every other stat first. 2 Ok now that we have the ricochet nonsense out of the way your first task in min / maxing the Pulse Spitter is getting upgrades with +9 damage and +15 rate of fire and any minus % reload time. The reason I say any percent minus reload time is that it is extremely hard getting +9 damage +15 rate of fire with minus reload time in the first place. There could be a debate on whether to take + clip size over minus reload time as the third stat, that's a close call and I'll leave the choice up to you. 3 Getting ricochet off and either + clip size or minus reload time on depending on what way you decided to go, I say “GOOD LUCK”! At this point, the RNG grind will be so brutal all but the most hardcore will say this is good enough. If you choose to proceed expect to spend millions of nanites from this point forward. 4 Bonus TIP: “Never take a downgrade” you see many guides saying you will get a downgrade here and there its just part of the process, this is total BS. Basically there doing it wrong, there destroying an upgrade to make room for the next and hoping for a better result, NEVER DO THIS. In the case of the Pulse Spitter were talking the multi-tool so something will have to be removed to see what the next upgrades stats are but as I said never remove an upgrade, remove the Combat Scope, Analisis Visor, or anything you can make that doesn't have rng, IE: it is the same every time you make it. Now place your next upgrade prospect in its place, yes they will turn red but we don't care at this point because we just want to see what the stats are, destroy the worse upgrade and we never take a downgrade. For ship and exo suits you don't need to remove anything to see the next prospect upgrades stats. I see so many videos were people do take downgrades when there is no reason for removing anything before seeing the next upgrade but they do it anyway, it blows my mind. Khraze, I love your content and I agree with most everything you said here but its more of a, well, I said a basic guide but in retrospect, it's more of an intermediate guide that you have to look really hard to see any min/max advice, its there but barely. Keep the great content coming my friend as you do help a lot of travelers out there and your content is very entertaining. EDIT/NOTE: I want to stress there is no need to min/max this game because the difficulty curve in NMS is a joke. Past the first few hours in any mode the challenge decreases beyond belief and becomes more of an inventory management simulator. Once you have full S class upgrades your steamrolling everything in sight no matter what stats your upgrades have. The only reason to min-max is if you really want to or need/want to burn excess nanites. The only things I would recommend min/maxing is your jet pack as this is incredibly useful and your scanning range. Your scanning range is easy to max at +40, by the time your ready to max it you have massive amounts of income and there is no need to worry about other stats only the +40 to scanning range.
@DWal323 жыл бұрын
X-class upgrades are more of a gamble, but if you have a ton of nanites they're way better than S-class S-class is for when you need to get high stats quickly.

I really enjoy NMS and it's one of the main space games that I have in my repertoire that I play consistently. But that doesn't mean that it's flawless and I'm starting to think that I'm honestly the only person who thinks that everything about the game structure and how it goes about letting you construct the tools you use is really convoluted and overly complicated because no one else ever seems to bring these things up when they talk about it. Everything that NMS tries to do is done better and is far more streamlined in Elite: Dangerous. Of course in Elite there's no base building, but aside from that everything from the way the map morks, to navigation between locations in the galaxy, to how you min/max a ship, to how you manage your fleet carrier and even finding the ship that you want is so much easier and it doesn't lack for depth because of its ease-of-use. It's just a far less frustrating to do things. The entire upgrade system for No Man's is far more complicated then it really needs to be and requires far too much studying to get a grasp on how it all works. In Elite you just grind to unlock the engineers who specialize in the you want to upgrade and as long as you grind out the materials, you have full control over how your modules are rebuilt. Nothing's random, there's no hunting involved, and you know exactly what you're going to get every time you go to see the engineer. And it doesn't take 10 spaces in your ship's inventory to upgrade the part. It's just the single space for the single component and all of the upgrades and experimental effects that you add. Like I said, I like no man's sky, but I wish that it didn't feel like it was a AAA single player title that was designed on the bones of a free-to-play model.

This is the first video that actually explains. I wish more videos were explained like this. I’d love a basic understanding video. Not everyone is advanced. No one explains how to navigate or move around using the galaxy map, no one explains the difference between general slots or technology slots, no one explains how to start small and grow. No one thinks PS4 players own this. Every video seems to be advanced why? Slow down, and maybe more people would enjoy this more. I have watched nearly all your videos, they’re quite advanced and you never point out exactly where you are or what your clicking or why. One video says here you are updating your exosuit as you forgot..... you moved so fast even pausing the video I couldn’t work it out. This is the only video imo where you clearly explain why, where and how you are doing things. Thank u, but all the other videos are too advanced and players like me would just give up. Your best start video is far from basic

Pseudo-survival exploration game with base building. Each planet has randomly generated terrain, fauna and flora. While there is some objective in story missions, you can do whatever you want. Gather materials, build bases from parts or just summon ground vehicle and explore the terrain. Upgrade your tool, ship, suit, vehicle and freighter, game has a lot of things to do. You can play in multiplayer with other people if you want. Game is also avaiable on consoles and in VR.

Noah Brown this game could be so great, but there’s no actual explanation of what or how to do anything. All these videos are way to advanced, some are too old and thus the tutorials ways of doing this no longer work. Everyone who post videos have zillions of money and loads of slots so we can’t follow what they are doing. You seem to have to read hundreds of reddit pages before you find a simple answer, there’s no simple map within the game, and I’ve yet to see even 1 useful basic video. And because of this, the game becomes too much of a chore so players put it down and play fifa instead.... when it could be so awesome

Cannot store upgrades in cargo? Actually you know just can somebody just explain the cargo? Idk yet but I noticed it doubles the stacking ability of some items but not others. Plz help
@DWal323 жыл бұрын
Cargo can only hold items, in survival and perma-death mode it holds double normal, but in normal mode it can only hold 9999 for regular resources, double for everything else. Eg salvaged technology has a normal stack size of 15 units, but when in a cargo slot the max stack size is 30. General storage can hold both items and technology, with half the storage space of everything, except normal resources in normal mode (those always have a max size of 9999). Technology holds ONLY technology upgrades, and as you've seen in the video can be paired with general storage to significantly upgrade your stuff beyond normal limits.
