Genocide really breaks your heart, especially when doing it last. Every time I kill a character, I cry. Especially for Papyrus. Also, I just wanna say as a long time veteran of Undertale, the Underverse is huge, and there are way more messed up AUs than Horrortale. Like Axetale, as well as the mystery of Alphatale that everyone is slowly piecing together.

The first, and only, time I tried to do a Genocide route, I felt genuinely guilty about killing Papyrus. It took me several turns to work up the courage to press [FIGHT] because I knew I'd feel horrible after doing it. After making it to Undyne, I stopped the route out of guilt and my inability to defeat Undyne the Undying.

@@zeniththeantringleader I know right, I just stopped genocide because I couldn't beat Undyne but then when I went to try it again I stopped because I just didn't want to kill anymore monsters and papyrus is such a sweet and adorable character, I reset the game and spared everyone out of guilt.

Theory/Idea: For those who know of the comic I think Player Tale. What if Player was actually half right? What if other players did do genocide run? Except what of the timelines when the player wasn't in control? We can't be naive enough to assume that all pacifist timelines were Frisks. Just like we can't assume that all genocides are of the players doing. After all, can you tell me what Frisk/Chara do when you turn off your screen..?

The first time I ever did genocide I cried, the moment I killed frogget I cried, the moment I killed torial, I cried again, papyrus was the person I cried the most after killing, I don't know he's just one of my favorites and he's super nice and funny it made me really sad to kill him, I don't ever want to do a genocide run ever again, I haven't even finished one because I don't want to kill sans, it makes me really sad and makes me cry ever time, I've tried the genocide route 5 or 6 times but give up on the sans fight cause I get to sad and want to see my favorite characters again.
