Yup it’s worth it. Literally keeping it. Use it more than Disney plus (will probably cancel Disney) and Hulu. It also has better content than Netflix IMO

After canceling HBO Max after first month it came out (because deal didn't materialize with Roku), I opted for the best streaming service for movie nerds, Criterion Channel at $11/mo. Now I've got free version of Peacock on my Roku, so I may not rejoin HBO Max when it finally makes deal with Roku, at least for quite a few months. So much great content on Peacock for free, and for just $5/mo. I can get full Peacock library but with ads still there, or $10/mo. full library no ads. With free Peacock I've noticed the ads are relatively few and quite acceptable. Peacock spokesman says free Peacock has about 5 min. of ads per hour, an industry low. As for Criterion Channel, wow, such a treasure trove of classic domestic and foreign...Ingmar Bergman, Francois Truffaut, Eric Rohmer, Fellini, Kurosawa, Tarkovsky, and on and on. In defense of HBO Max, they do have a nice selection of Criterion movies, so yes I will probably go back to Max eventually.

Yeah subscribed to HBO Max a few days ago and the content is light years ahead of Netflix. I just don't like its U/I and that you can't stream to Roku but content again is great!

Anything hbo max has, my free link has what hbo max has and a lot more. Like Disney plus movies... Mandalorian season 1,2 Raised by wolves episodes 1-10 Warrior season 1,2 Clone wars season 1to7 I was getting Mandalorian before America was getting episodes..well I live in America.. Every movie to tv shows I get for free in hd 1080 no ads no viruses no pop ups.. New movie monster hunter.. HBO max doesn't have that.. Cobra kai season 1,2.. Bflix.to

Well at least for 2021 it will be. All their upcoming movies will be in theaters and HBO Max on the same day. Possibly as a temporary release. Wonder Woman will only be on Max for a month and then will return later.

It might be worth if (a) it was available on the Roku and (b) I wasn't already paying for 3 or 4 streaming services plus how much entertainment I can already get for free. If they dropped their price down to under $10, I would consider adding it regardless of if I did or didn't drop another service. So for me, I would say it's not worth the $12 to $15 that is the current price.

They said throughout 2021 it’ll be rolled out to different countries, the problem currently is they have contracts with certain regions that they have to wait to expire so they can release a streaming service in those regions

Personally I don't think they have the new Sopranos or Game of Thrones to drive retention. Add the lack of new theatrical blockbusters this year and you reduce that traditional HBO strength. Perry Mason was a breathe of fresh air this summer but not enough.

I don't think having a lot of content should necessarily mean having a high price. Disney+ has over two THOUSAND shows and movies, yet it only costs $6.99/month. My point is that if HBO Max wants to compete with Disney+ and Netflix, then HBO Max should save the price of $14.99 for bundles with Boomerang without ads and instead have a usual price of $5.99.

HBO max is definitely worth the cost although we don’t pay that because we pay and have it through our Xfinity subscription and we also have access to HBO max through our AT&T cellular subscription however we are still having trouble getting it on the TV we are watching HBO max on cell phones and tablets so I am going to review one of these links you stated will show how to do so I hope I understand because if you haven’t picked up on it I’m not too bright with the cups of of stuff lol

I added it for the $12.99 price, which is good for 1 year. I couldn't care less about their original programing though. When the year is up, I'll probably drop it. IMO, STARZ gives the most bang for the buck with almost 40 channels if you have HULU, and it has a 3 month special for $1.99.

I'd say if u like newer content/films/series, choose Netflix .. if u like older properties/series/films and classic blockbusters, Max is your treasure.. if you want 4k/HDR for less $, Max still wins at $12.50 per month (the 1-yr plan) over Netflix's $17.99.. a whopping $5.50 difference Netflix's app is superior though and many more ways to 'cheat' a sub (VPN for more content; sharing ease)

The only good that has HBOMAX movies in theaters you can see it on HBOMAX that it is not that great. Because all the movies are old ones and when you search you can't find the movies that you want. The only movies that you can see is the ones believable. Is like Netflix. HBOMAX not that good.
