Hey there, my sweet friends. Thank you all so much for watching today’s video. It means the world to me. I know so many creators post on this platform, but for me having you here is nothing short of an honor and a blessing. Thank you for spending your day with me. You guys feel my heart up so much, as I had mentioned in the video here is my Mercari app link. I listed some of my items on there if you want to check them out. www.mercari.com/u/lynnwhite?sv=0

You are very right about not being coddled by our parents in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. They taught us a very important lesson: the world doesn't care if you are having a bad day. You've got to be able to push yourself through that and handle your business. I'm not saying anyone should be living and breathing work with no days off, etc. However, we are seeing the effects of that lack of motivation in the younger people coming into the workforce now. Because they were coddled to the nth degree. (In my opinion)

I agree very much so but I have five children, with a 20 year age gap. My husband and are in our mid 50’s. Our oldest three are in their late 20s and early 30s and our younger two are teenagers. Our older three and younger two are very different. The older three didn’t necessarily love it, but they worked hard and the younger two seem to have an aversion to it. I know our parenting style is more relaxed because we’re older but we still model hard work, and we still encourage it very much so. I feel like we’re actually fighting against the culture. We have talks all the time about how you can’t just let your emotions fly because you feel like it. You still have to have self control. Also, you have to work hard in life, things aren’t just handed to you. So I do believe it’s from parenting overall but now it’s so pervasive in our culture that even when you’re working against it, it’s really tough!!
@MalinaCCАй бұрын
Some of the younger generation aren’t motivated to work hard because the hard work they put in will only get them 1/5 (or less) of the same value $ wise in comparison to their parents or older generations. Working hard or getting more education does not guarantee financial gain or success like they were told and what worked for previous generations does not work now. Corporations are giving workers less pay for the same or more amount of work, yet the salaries and profits of the top execs and companies make millions and billions while treating workers poorly. The reality is that younger generation will not be able to buy their own home or raise a family unless they generational wealth supporting them or they work 7 days a week with no work/life balance. A lot of them think, “what’s the point”. It’s very sad and I hope something changes soon.

I am the list Queen. I love lists. I live for lists! Over the last 6 months I have declutterred my whole house, garage & attic ( we are in our 70’s, just the 2 of us here) I have empty cupboards, drawers, & shelves. Nothing in the attic. 2 cars fit in the garage. It’s so liberating. Things are so easy & peaceful now! Love you❣️❣️

I love the reminder that we should all be doing what works best for us and makes our own lives easier and happier. This is my favorite thing about your channel. You recognize that the differences in people should not only be recognized but embraced. I also wanted you to know what a difference you make to so many. When I am not sure of what to do or how I am feeling, I can always watch one of your videos and it makes me feel better. You help me remember that I'm not alone in so many areas.

Happy Sunday Lynn White and your beautiful family! Just finished watching your “Tired of Clutter” video!! My gosh!! It was so good!! Much of what you did here I had also done just this last week! Watching you here made me relieved to know my decluttering choices were good decisions!! Ridding my closet of clothes I no longer wear, makeup that doesn’t work, and reorganizing some drawer spaces, all made me breathe a little better! I told my husband, Bruce, that decluttering is my new hobby!! 😅 Appreciate you and your transparency! God Bless You!! ❤Barb D

I place labels on each charger plug (wrap label around each cord) and place them in a small mesh zipper bag (what many use to de-box their boxed games). I have a very tiny bathroom with basically no counter space. So I place the toothbrush charger stand, toothbrush charger USB and waterpik USB charger in the same mesh bag. The mesh bag is placed on a tiny bathroom shelf for storage. This really comes in handy when I notice the appliances need a charge.

I finally decided I didn’t need all the jeans I had. I do love my skinny jeans. So I kept 2 black, 1 light blue for skinny jeans. I have 1 medium blue with cuffs. Just purchased a red pair and white pair of pants that can be dressed up or down. Donated everything else. I had so many workout pants/tops. After Covid not doing Jazzercise anymore, so just kept 1 set for walking. It is nice to have so much space in the drawers! Trying to keep only what I will wear. You are doing a wonderful job decluttering and very motivated watching your videos! ❤

You had me with the cords😂😂! I am definitely going to pick up that box, but whenever we have a cord come in that can separate from the physical item. We actually now use our labeler to print what it actually is for… This has been a huge game changer for us. We had a random box of cords that I held onto throughout three moves…. Seriously the bane of my existence.😂😂😂. Love your content ❤❤❤❤❤

I don’t feel so overwhelmed, I have my time for the more important things, and my mental health is in a better place because I’m not constantly trying to keep up with others. I’ve even narrowed my KZbin channels that I follow… like you said, if it doesn’t bring me joy, then I need to move on. I think that resilience such an important thing to teach your children. You may have bad days but you do need to push through at times. However, I do support mental health days and I do let my children have them. But I do teach them the difference between honoring your mental health and avoiding responsibility. It's not easy to do even when you are a grown up.
