I purchased this on Amazon and used it for a couple of gigs. I'm a keyboard player and been using the Behringer Power Play P1 for a long time and it's a cheap unit. The battery cover broke and won't stay on without tape. I'm waiting for the battery to fall out. I didn't want to purchase another Behringer product so I bought this after I watched your video. I was skeptical at best and didn't hold out much hope. I've used it a couple of times now and it' works great. It's well made, the battery compartment and cover is solid, and it's in expensive. I also like that all the controls are on the top of the unit so easy to use especially the stereo switch. The stereo imaging works great. I don't know how long it will last but at this price point its easy enough to buy a spare for the road. I'd recommend for any musician that doesn't move around. Thanks for making this video.

Hearing yourself (or others) on stage has always been a challenge. You are either getting pounded by your own backline and can't hear anything much else, or you hear everyone else but not yourself! In-ear monitors have become the norm in the past few decades, but I've never felt comfortable using them. You get a feedback spike and blammo, your hearing is history. I once saw an Airbourne show where the lead guitarist for the final song just dimed his amp and took out his in-ears, I think that was what cause that volcano to erupt in Iceland, it was ungodly loud. Felt like I was walking around with a wet towel wrapped around my head for a few days after that.

Haha! I remember WHEN an Airbourne gig was shut down at the Hallam Hotel cos they had stacks of Marshalls & they were ALL on & running! It was SO loud, the cops got complaints from surrounding neighbourhoods about the noise the cops shut them down!

Motörhead.. Bridgeway Pub in the 80s... low roof, packed & constipation curing loud!!! Ears rang for days (still do, but that's my fault) never heard any band come close.

@@baabaabaa-ElLove me some Motorhead. So happy I got to see them when I did. They were loud, but not overbearing. Loudest show I ever saw was Judas Priest (with Ripper Owens on Vocals) playing a small club in StKilda with a PA that would have rocked a stadium. You could actually feel your skull compress at certain points. It was physically painful. But, they did put on a hell of show! I shouldn't complain, I rock a Plexi in the loungeroom, it's often around 120db. Neighbours have never complained though, funnily enough. Actually get the odd compliment from people living 500 meters away.........

@@MichaelSorensen-bl3ec I used to hit St Kilda before it became gentrified (in the 80s). Saw I Spit on Your Gravy, Depression & plenty of gd bands at the Waler & Espy. I rekn Motorhead were so loud cos of the low roof? Saw Gallows (with Frank still singing) at Download, open air.. but still loud. Amp wise...l knocked back a 70s JTM (l think) had KTs in it from a mate ..he wanted $600!! I'm a wanker, still kicking myself!!👍

I tried a set of IEMs recently but I needed to download a mixer app and it wasn't compatible with my phone so I got impatient pretty quickly and went back to a foldback.

Like the video. However, what I'm looking for is a personal IEM for hearing my own voice while singing and playing guitar. I don't need to broadcast the guitar, just my voice. The problem I keep running into is having to buy some sort of mixing board. I don't need to start mixing anything. I just want to hear myself sing. Is there any way to achieve that without spending my rent check? Thanks Doug

It's good, but it's wired, so if you LIKE to move around on stage, this might be a bit limiting!

What is the full name of your mixer by Behringer? If you needed two IEM connected to that mixer does it have two connections. Thank you for your answer.

What mic are you using on the boom arm, Shane? It sounds great.
@intheblues Жыл бұрын
It's a Rode Broadcaster mic. I love the sound of it and it's pretty good at helping eliminate background noise also.

Will the Texas Heat Speaker in the Mustang 3v2 mess up the sounds of the Amp Sims and Amp Cabs. I have a Quilter Head so I am trying to up grade the speaker in the mustang so it sounds better plus he is going to modify the mustang amp so I can run my quilter head through there. They I can use the fender 12 “ speaker for the quilter for the dv mark, or any head basically. Thank you

Is it the same as the Behringer P2?
@jonvarga5569 Жыл бұрын
Yes it is, except the stereo/mono switch is on the outside and the battery compartment appears to be easier to use. I have the P2 and the clip and shell design are kind of janky.

Another $100 or so for a set of in-ear monitors, another set of batteries to make sure are fresh, another gadget to remember to bring and another cable to trip on. 😜 Convenience always seems to come at a cost.

David Gilmore had stacks of Hiwatts so he might have done it out of sheer necessity to save his hearing. Maybe they were not even plugged in? They may have been lumberjacks ear muffs 😂
