NO MORE LAG!! - BMW TBA (Throttle Body Adaptation) RESET*. FREE AND EASY!!

If you have been experiencing throttle lag in your BMW, this might be the issue. Bmws TBA, adapts to your specific driving habits. If you drive with MPGs as your priority, then its most likely that you will have this lag issue when stepping on the gas pedal. Theres a 1 second if not more delay between the time you press on the pedal, and the time it actually engages and moves. This reset will help with that!

Man!!!! I have a 2012 BMW 650i Convertible with the 4.4 Liter Twin Turbo charged V8 with 400 hp and 450 lb/ft of torque that was lagging a little bit. Worked on my 2007 328xi! Extremely easy thank you for this. I’ve been experiencing this issue for some time and couldn’t figure out what it was exactly. This took care of the lag right away. As soon as you start driving you will notice the difference immediately

Thank you bro! You literally saved me thousands! I went to the car wash and I was cleaning inside of my car behind the gas pedal and I think I messed with something! I tried this procedure on my 2006 760i and noticed an immediate improvement in the Throttle response. I just had DME 1 & DME 2 replaced, and the Drive by wire Throttle body's needed to be re-adapted due to the new DME's. Thanks!

I think the ecu/tcu had to relearn so it probably took a couple miles or it sleeping over night to kick in 😁🙌🏾! Its not a permanent solution unfortunately, but if it ever feels sluggish again, just simply repeat the steps and you good to go! I want to eventually do the pedal box for the x1. That really gets rid of that hesitation completely!

Thank you! Worked on my 18 X1 28i x drive. I bought it with 26,000 on it and it felt sluggish as hell off the line. I even coded the car to start in sport mode and still pedal hesitation! Now my god it runs as I feel it should. Launches off the line and pulls smoothly and feels much quicker than it did.

Do it. 18 settings (9 sport & 9 race) totally wakes up the throttle. It's more than just changing the sensitivity. It opens the TB faster. Combine that with your xHP mod.

It worked for my 2011 328i coupe but it's a temporary fix you can feel it weaking so I 130$ put new coil packs and S Plugs in then I reset it the way I did for hellcats srt8s and BLAM!!! permanently fixed.... The way you describe it with the mechanical sound Makes me think it's your fuel pressure regulator your resetting but to reset your Throttle body position center that's all electronic with electronic sound it should chime like what I get doing it the dodge way Because the computer in the components are calibrating themselves to how slow you're pushing it down and how far it goes down and how slow you're releasing it and how far it releases back to fully gauge your throttle movement sensor these vehicles are all electronics so turning it off doesn't seem right. These cars have 2 different types of codes so it might be tricking your ecm and resetting that but it's not doing the body code

Hey mate have done this a couple of times but the issues come back after a week or so. I’m getting no error codes and the car is sluggish but the reset fixes is temporarily as you’ve mentioned. Did you ever find out what the root cause was?

I did it on my e60. It doesn't seem any difference in performance but it is idling at 800-900 rpm. It use to idle at around 600. Anybody know what is going on here?

Hey I have a 340i with a stage 1 BM3 and I can notice some initial lag coming off the line even with a bit of brake boosting ( not launch control ) . Basically just holding revs at 1200 or so and mashing throttle. Some lag for a fraction of a second then it takes off. So if I did this throttle adaptation reset every 2 weeks I guess that would take of it? Every 2 weeks because I know the adaptation gets lost and you have to do it again......

Thanks mate. Worked for me. BMW 320d e90 Ed 163bhp. N47 engine. With remap & other mods I am rocking 240bhp & 520nm torque. Like a rocket now from 1500rpm. Mods Performance intercooler BMW performance exhaust Upgraded intake. Very clean car. Ie: regular additives and engine oil flush done. With the adjust to the gas pedal. Really feel the intercooler n turbo chime in sync now. Thanks again. Anyone out there with these types of cars, from experience I would highly recommend using liquimoly injector cleaners. Diesel purge n defo liquimoly engine flush. Hope it works for u.
