As you mentioned Lambrusco.... for cycling fans (especially those who remember Marco Pantani) a visit to Giacobazzi in Modena is highly recommended, as aside from tasting their excellent lambrusco wines, they have a museum which contains loads of beautiful bikes from their own cycling team for which Pantani used to race! For motorsports fans, this museum is also amazing eg. Gilles Villeneuve's 1979 Ferrari F1 car, as is the whole region... Ferrari, Ducati, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani.

As a cyclist who makes a bit of wine, I was appalled by your wine experiment. I would suggest that each episode you get a bottle of wine from the area where the race is happening (as you did) and bring in an expert to introduce us to it. I would suggest that you find a friendly independent wine merchant to do this for you; do not get wine from supermarkets if you want to actually drink good wine; and don't expect a taste for wine to come quickly, but by the end of the tour you will be the wiser. Not only would you add an angle to the show, but you might discover how good wine can be. On a serious note, many independent wine makers are having a hard time of it so please be good to them.
@joeymacme5 ай бұрын
Cycling (bike touring) and wine are a great paring, so your suggestion is perfect. It might even inspire some folk to visit and tour the beautiful wine producing areas. You don't need to be a roadie, a bike touring nerd or a wine snob to have a great, easy going holiday which includes tours and tastings at some great cantinas and vineyards... great accommodation usually too.

With this Tour, I've started to watch cycling after many years of pause (I'm a cycling fan from the Peter's Sagan era), so most of the names are new to me. Still, I liked Abrahamsen in the first stage and I continue to appreciate his riding. When I write this we are already after stage 3 and he still holds both jerseys. Still, I don't think he will hold the grasp on them through the whole race. And I would risk saying, this won't be to his weight per se, but more to not enough power to weight ratio. I strongly believe weight alone is highly overrated in cycling. I mean, being light (this goes also for bikes) doesn't make us better climbers if heavier riders have better power output for every kg of the system (rider + bike).
@michaelw.lassalle17165 ай бұрын
Then call me from now on: No One. Anyone analyzing the released videos knows that he and his team played a game. If he can sustain this effort, we will see. Surprising, not at all, just be able to avoid to fall into the trap of debate and discussion skills from the Visam team.

If Jasper lets off, then Mads will take the win 😂. Well i think if Cav wins it will be because he will have a go throuh a great leadout. Mørkøv is still the most experienced leadout man In the peloton, perhaps Cav has a chance if he gets the perfect leadout. Otherwise it will be Jasper, Mads or Sam Bennet.

Vingo fell at the start of April. He suffered a broken collarbone, several broken ribs, a pulmonary contusion and a pneumothorax and other less serious injuries. He spent some time in the ICU, they stitched him back together, and he left the hospital mid April, call it 10 weeks before the tour. Two days in, he goes with Pogy -who's numbers are allegedly 15% better than in the Giro *and* who has lost 1.5 kg to boot - dropping Carapaz and Remco. I know Vingo is a performance alien, and I truly want to believe all is above board, but this is just weird.
