I love John Piper. In my opinion he is the greatest theologian of our time. . I was listening to one of Piper's sermons on the "great 8" chapter of Romans, and it dawned on me he was reciting the chapter by memory, verbatim, from the ESV translation I had open on my lap. Piper is so filled with the sword of the Spirit, God's Word, the Spirit's living water flows from him. Piper's ministry has helped me more than I can say in words--God knows. I thank God for him and his ministry.

When I realized Piper memorized Romans 8, I remembered him quoting Martin Luther thatv Romans "is worthy . . . every Christian should know it word for word, by heart, . . . as the daily bread of the soul."

How do I know if I treasure Christ enough to be saved? And if I don't, how do I make myself treasure Him enough? I'm so scared that I'm not saved, and the reason why is because I feel like I don't love God enough for Him to accept me into His Kingdom. I've been suffering and terrified for nearly a year now, so please, someone help me.

Hey Kylee, I totally understand where you are coming from. In the past, I felt the way you’ve described above. I want to encourage you to keep pursuing to know God. To know is to love. The more we know (not just an academic knowledge) the more we discover God, and the more we know what it is to love. In order to know how to love God, we need to know how He loves us first. We can’t go about trying to love God in our own strength - our passions are far too weak. But when we just pursue God (who has called/predestined/justified/glorified you - Romans 8:28-30 ) we can be content that we’re His. Satan is trying to kill your joy in your relationship with Christ, and telling you through these doubts that you’re not good enough. My friend, 1 Peter 5:8 tells us, “be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Don’t let the devil steal your joy. Let yourself be loved as God keeps removing the things that hinder you, and as you unveil God’s glory and love by pursuing Him continually. I’ll leave you this small image I have in my spirit about this: we can’t know how love is by measuring it to what we know love to have been - it’s as if we’re covered in mud and we don’t know it, and when we realize it we absolutely feel gross and inadequate because of our exterior isn’t beautiful or good enough... but when we let ourselves be cleansed by water, we can see ourselves better, not because of us but because of the water. And we love water all that more now and desire that for others. Not self discovery, but what I mean is that God loves you, so let yourself be loved and rest in that Jesus has cleansed you, the Holy Spirit resides in you, and nothing can separate you now from the love of God. Let God remover the mud. We can pursue Him better now that we are His. I’ll be praying for you! :)

Kylee B Good morning:-) I'm sorry that your struggling and suffering like this Kylee. Just wanted to ask you, have you truly repented of your sins? What will happen is that Jesus will allow you to feel the gravity of your sinful ways just enough so that you will understand exactly what He accomplished for you on the Cross. Once you encounter the Holy Spirit this way, I can assure you that Loving Jesus Christ and Loving your Heavenly Father will not be an issue anymore. (Amen) like scripture says " We Love Him because He first Loved us". Isn't that amazing? Even as we live in darkness and are imersed in our sinful ways He never loved us any less than when we are living in obedience. Kylee please pray and take in the living word everyday, it is vital to every child of God. Your Love, Joy and Peace WILL Grow till it overflows that's God's promise and Gift to His obedient children who turn from their sins and walk with Him each day:-) also, I understand why you would feel terrified Knowing that something this big is not what it's supposed to be, but that's definitely an indication that your not walking in His abundance because of doubt and fear. The spirit of fear is not of God. He gives you peace. I will pray for you sister. remember if you had no desire For Jesus or your Heavenly Father in your life you wouldn't be seeking Him like this.

My dear, you can't love God enough to be saved. His word says that "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us", and, "We love Him because He first loved us." We will never love God enough. Not enough to be saved; not nearly as much as He deserves. Please don't let fear dominate you. Look into the word of God and see how much He loves you. Gratitude is the normal response to such a great love! Our love for Him develops from a heart of gratitude. And if you still think that you don't love Him enough, ask Him to fill your heart with love for Him. John Piper teaches that we can't love God without God. In other words,we are dependent on Him for everything, even to love Him. We don't have the capacity in and of ourselves. Hope this helps you 😃😃

The devil get back and behind me ! Ask God to come into ur heart .The Holy SPIRIT WILL FILL YOU UP And protect you . Then be Baptized To wash away ur sins..
