Seems good, specially in the Philippines where almost nobody has an oven. However if you want my advice, add half a pinch of salt to raise the taste. The idea is to raise the taste and make it more intense, not to salt it. I would also add a little lemon or lime juice for acidity, and make the cake seem lighter. I could also add torrefied nuts (any type) for the chewing (if the eaters are not allergic to nuts). And knowing how the philippines people are crazy about chocolate, i could embed chocolate fudge, or ripe mangoes slices. All this if you want to make a cake that none of your neighbours would make, and that would make their kids come each time you organize a birthday party. The idea is to keep it cheap and easy to make too.

I tried this recipe last weekend. I had a whole bunch of over ripe bananas. As I did not have a 10 inch pan, I cooked two 6 inch cakes. As I didn't have brown sugar, I added a piece of juggery. However, it was very delicious and I am going to give it a try again by adding nuts and plums alongwith vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon to give it a nice flavour. Thanks for encouraging me not to trow away over ripen bananas.

I used 3 Cavendish bananas and just 1 cup of sugar (mixture of brown and castor). I also used 1/2 cup greek yogurt + 1/2 cup milk since i wanna finish my yogurt also i add 1/4 cup of corn starch to my mixture. It came out perfect and the sweetness is just right for us. I guess it's because my bananas are overripe to the point of it being almost black😂

What is castor?
@rickprive Жыл бұрын
@@manoyski3555 Caster, or castor, sugar is a type of fine granulated sugar that's widely available in the United Kingdom. It's not quite as common in the United States, though you can find it in some baking aisles under the name "superfine sugar." Its texture is somewhere between regular granulated sugar and confectioners' sugar.

Yes i love the way you demo and it was so perfect. Thank you for sharing. I have tried it and so yummy really delicious exactly as your recipe. My only question is: During steaming why is it in the middle of the pan instead of nag-imbosed, there was a form of a circle naglalim yung gitna at basa . Ano kaya ang pagkakamali ko sa pag steam? Kindly advise me to make it perfect.
@ma.theresabranzuela3784 жыл бұрын
mam its much better you cover the pan with cling wrap or aluminum foil so that the moisture from the steam wont go through. the cake.or might as well wrap the cover with cloth.
