1. If applied online in big stores like walmart, TD banks etc. Then you get email about assessment asking behavior questions. And you get points=more probability to get jobs. 2. Do both walk-in and online application. Search for vacancy in job sites and note down the stores, then apply to such instead of hitting all stores in a lane. Get free resume in university's career services. 3. Ask associate to get manager and then ask for vacancy. 4. Don't give resume to associate as they might fear you will snatch away their privileges and hence throw it away. 5. Availability is the most important, not experience or field for survival jobs. 6. It's a myth that you must get reference. You can get it without reference too. And gursahib himself is an example. 7. Don't give fake experience. As many managers might be south asian and they know part time culture is less there. So they can figure out the lies. 8. Be honest, have confidence.
