I agree with Jaz. I wouldn't cast post . It's a waste of money for patient. The retention form is from the castings fit to the post space . But there's a lack of rotational resistance . If you create a key or an antirotation . You're again risking fracture as the root wall is thin.

I would do an ever stick vertical, hollow adapted and bonded to the canal, then after filled with ever x flow, over a cast post any day. But I rarely need a post. And when I do I make it very short endo crown style with an internal ferrule.

What’s a consumer to do…. :( Im thrilled for dentists getting this elevated knowledge, but how can I possibly know if my dentist is aware of the best practices ?

best thing for a patient to do is find a dentist who you connect with, who you trust and like, and have faith that they have your best interest at heart. Find a clinician who is caring, uses magnification and explains things in a way you understand

Great human oriented dentistry. After 30 yrs of practice in low income area the longevity of any restoration (together with some out of the box solutions),is the paramount factor. The sociological references at the end of the episode, I couldn't agree more. Exceptional episode, bravo!
