I'd add two more things: do more hypertrophy stuff, build the muscle you need for skills, and take a step back and correct your form in those skills

Something I sadly overlooked but fortunately I realized I have to, been training hypertrophy for a few weeks now, after 8 to 12 months I'll get back to strength
@richardgallo50612 жыл бұрын
@@HylianHanzou honestly, you might come back even stronger than before, I wish I didn't make this mistake when I started training planche, I tought I was doing it good but looking back from now I was doing shit

@@richardgallo5061 what would u recommend to move toward planche? Or should i focus on handstan push up first?

@@DominikSky1 disagree, size of muscle is irrelevant, quality of muscle and connective tissue is more important some of the strongest calisthenics athletes i know are shredded but small frames

My weighted pull ups have been stagnating, but I'm so scared to do weighted chin ups as a variation in fear of losing my pull up progress

How would you personally tackle some elbow sensitivity in one elbow from working iron cross? One elbow feels pretty unstable after even just working an easy variation of a cross hold for me. I can normally hold a cross about 10 degrees above perfect height, but now I can't even hold in the straps.
@DominikSky12 жыл бұрын
Would really focus on your ring dips, ring support position, straight arm dumbell press to get the support position INSANELY strong before thinking about the cross =D... By the old gymnastic books you should be able to do a straddle planche on rings before going for the cross... not saying you have to do that but gives an idea what level of elbow conditioning is needed before training for the cross =D
@raymakerscalisthenics6602 жыл бұрын
@@DominikSky1 That makes sense. Maybe just going back to some basics and rebuilding it wouldn't be too bad. I can do a straddle planche on rings (supinated), can almost L-Sit straddle press to HS on rings, and have 10 supinated back lever pull to inverted hang. This strength in mind, would you still go back to that?

I got a question, when I do weighted pull up my lower back starts to, I wouldn't say hurt, but it starts to feel very uncomfortable, because the dip belt is pulling at it. It starts somewhere around 25-30kg of extra weight. Any idea what I can do to avoid this??

how tall is the bar? if the bar is tall enough where your legs are fully extended there should not be much pain or discomfort, however when i’ve used my bar at home which is a bit smaller so i have to bend my legs. So as long you are not over extending your lower body which i think you might be doing you should be fine, try not to bend your lower half where the dip belt is attached
@TheHabibOfMankind2 жыл бұрын
u could buy another chain and double knot it
@DominikSky12 жыл бұрын
Getting a better belt would be a good idea, or just being slower with the additional weight... It does feel uncomfortable but not too much, so as long as you slowly progress with the weight week to week you should be good ;)
