Oh wow, how exciting, We enquired 6 months ago and would have been a 5 year wait with hull number in the 70s. Very happy for you 🎉

Yes it is a long wait, they are now up past 90 orders I believe, hopefully they can upscale production to get them out faster. By limiting customer modifications they will hopefully get this streamlined further get them out faster.

Exciting stuff guys, well done. A couple of quick questions if you don't mind, it sounds like you are taking delivery in SE Asia, did you use the local Aus broker or deal with SeaWind direct? And did they give any indication if the 1600 is getting an update?
@SailingNoRegrets11 ай бұрын
The 1600's are still getting some tweaking but must admit I didn't pay a lot of attention. We are taking delivery from Pattaya and exploring Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia for a few years, then who knows where next!

Congrats on the 1370 - doesn't sound like you'll be wintering again in Adelaide anytime soon! We're looking forward to sailing the 1260 back there next month.

Congrats! Huge news, now the long wait for it pop out the other end of the production line. Doing delivery over there or getting NR2 shipped back to Aus.

Great episode guys. Curious if you were looking for something smaller would you go 1170 or 1260 (granted I know you are getting out of a 1260). But I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of Sweet Disposition so I can actually physically compare the two. Year one - Australia Year two - French Polynesia Year three - Asia Then who knows ….

We were fortunate enough to see your 1170 at the factory. I'd love to see how the sailing performance compares between the 1260 and 1170. My dislikes of 1170 is the outside sink is gone, the optional BBQ is no longer inside the cabinet. Likes, MUCH better headroom in forward cabins, rear cabin now a double, it is too narrow and short in 1260 (we hardly use it though). Galley feels more open, bow height higher so it should be better riding OVER waves. Under seat storage while looks large and takes from cockpit area is usable, 1260 eskies are not good and a waste of space. Under bench seat storage in 1170 is now possible. 1260 has no cockpit storage at all unless you use the eskies. Wasted space under the bench seat, and transom sides which we made our own lockers. I'd likely prefer the 1170 with newer design shape, but I'd really love to see her sail as the 1260 is quite quick and points very high. Both are fantastic boats, if cruising the Australian coast I would stay 1260/1170, an ideal size and easier to get a marina berth, but a 1370 if blue water cruising is the desired destination

We have a 1260 build scheduled for Oct 2025. We've toured the the 1260 several times and I worry about the size (space not safety) for eventually crossing the Atlantic from the US. I am curious if you are able to share your reasons for moving up in size and/or your thoughts on the 1260 for crossing oceans?
@SailingNoRegrets10 ай бұрын
We are VERY happy with our 1260 and for 2 persons, it is a very good size. Our biggest advice, keep your weight down. We prepare for an ocean crossing by emptying the water tank to 1/3 or less, full diesel tanks, and our jerry cans empty (used to refuel overseas occasionally), as the 1260 is weight critical. She sails very well in light winds, I strongly suggest keeping your fuel carrying to the main tanks only. On our first ocean crossing we were too heavy and had quite rough seas, we learnt many valuable lessons on that trip. Space.. there's plenty. If you fill it up, then it is going against the advice above. The 1370 will be faster and more comfortable offshore being a bigger boat. We are intending to make some longer and distant trips so the option to get a 1370 quite some time ago was taken with the option of handover in Thailand giving us an fantastic starting point. That said, we love our 1260 and it is setup perfectly and it would take us almost as comfortably. We are though finding marina berths hard to get in our home town at the moment, and the 1370 will be even more difficult with even less berths available. If you want to chat further, reach out to us through Facebook messenger.

Nice enough boat but, I the galley down is why I love the 1260's, I do not like the galley up it looks like it gets in the way of the entertainment deck space.
@SailingNoRegrets11 ай бұрын
We love our galley down on the 1260 as well, it would not work being up. But the 1370 is 1.3m longer and nearly 1m wider, that makes for a VERY big saloon, and I agree with the design team it is now just too just too large and becomes a waste of space. At 45 foot, there is enough space where a galley up is practical, but now we will have to cover our dishes with a board or similar when previously you couldn't see them. The 2nd bathroom is also a benefit, fully separate shower and not going through any bedroom to access. That would be lost galley down.
