You have hit the ball out of the park with this video! It had all the best ingredients - superb locations, a storyline, good humour, really good camera work with clarity and colour, it was almost like being there. It is quite something that the people you met were happy to be interviewed, and you are very skilful at getting the best from them. Those interviews added so much to the story. Your work reminded me of the best that the Beeb used to produce (a long time ago when I watched it). So congratulations and I hope you can make some more of these documentaries. They deserve to have a very wide audience. Thank you.

We sadly encountered the previous owner of the pub who was not well-liked by the locals who boycotted the place. He refused to serve us a meal and drinks after a few days of hiking and camping over The Munros in the area. The guy who ran the food shack heard about our experience and kindly invited us into his home and cooked us all a meal. Fantastic people and good to see the pub returned to where it belongs. Great video of an amazing place.

Thank you, Eddy. It was a small glimpse into a stunning location and a community spirit that I thought had disappeared. As a boy growing up in a very different part of the world in the late 50s and early 60s (Wallsend), we had precisely that. Everyone knew everyone else; times were more challenging but I cannot recall ever wanting for anything. Everyone mucked in. I miss it.

@TynesideLife I now know why so many people in Newcastle wear north face it's cos it's baltic up there I was shivering at the match. I'm from a little village myself and inverie is heaven to me I love places like that away from all the noise and hustle and bustle of city life. You're so right community these days where I live I often go months without seeing or hearing from anyone people just don't seem to care anymore.

@TynesideLife20 сағат бұрын
You can’t reach the village by vehicle. The nearest access road is 15 miles away. There is of course a road/forest track that runs along the peninsula, through the tiny village about 1/2 mile long but it goes nowhere other than that. 👍🏻

Great video, I’m sure I watched someone walking there on a video. I take it they are on the national grid for electrickery as generator power not be the best. Hope all the past Scottish and English history over the centuries has been forgotten about now. But will white settlers in the community ever be totally accepted ? You should have gone to the beach near mallaig that was where that film about an oil refinery used the location along with other parts of Scotland. Burt Lancaster had an appearance as the boss I think. 👍 Looked it up- Local Hero , which has a Geordie connection of course. 😊
