This movie is actually pro smoking and hence "pro freedom of choice". This movie points out at how everyone keeps telling you what to do, what is good for you and what is bad for you, instead of letting you make the choice and do what you really want to do. In Anurag's case, censor board kept telling him what movies to make and what movies not to make, at the time his 2 movies got banned by censor board, so this movie was him venting out. The funny part is censor board and government thought this was an anti smoking movie, so they let him release it and later he got an award for promoting no smoking lol

I am sad nobody told you about the Salaam Namaste MBBS joke in the comments section. Abbas Tyrewala, K's friend, is named after Abbas Tyrewala, who has written screenplay and dialogues for films like Munnabhai MBBS, Salaam Namaste, Maqbool, Main Hoon Naa. Abbas even wrote lyrics for Kashyap's unreleased debut Paanch. Kashyap named him Abbas, because .. APPARENTLY.. Abbas was that industry friend who started off as an independent voice in cinema, but slowly caved to bigger authorities (cough cough YASH RAJ FILMS)

I think you guys have lost the engagement of your Hindi audience. Which saddens me. The people you have surrounded yourselves with never want you to watch Hindi movies. Consquently, even your Hindi audience have migrated to channels that regularly engage them. I am going to have an unpopular opinion here. This movie isn't really as good as people make it out to be. It has unnecessary layering for the supposed message the movie is suppose to convey. Not all movies with subliminal messaging are good. It may be a sort of good movie but not a masterpiece as Kashyap fans want people to believe. He has far better movies than this.
