Interesting technique. I throw more like a karate chop where as you kinda throw the bo-shuriken like a speedball. Looks like you are generating a lot of power. I'll have to try this. I've also found I can generate some power with the bo-shuriken using kind of a military half spin throw. Great video. Inspiring.

That was some very fine throwing. If you don't mind me asking, what was the max distance in this video?

around seven meters the last throw

@joelholopainen6865 Ah, very nice. And very impressive; no historical ryuha that I've heard of advocates combative throwing from beyond 18 feet. Anyone who can command seven meters of distance is way ahead of the curve. 👍👍

@@TheShurikenZone I have seen one guy throwing hard that rounded shurikens from 9 meters with IVA technique. I have done 12 meter throw with squared MSR shuriken. These are on videos. Throwing techniques have developed.

@joelholopainen6865 Indeed, you and others have accomplished wonderful throwing feats, these latter years. Honestly, it's a treat to discuss throwing with you; your work is tremendously inspiring. I'm just a normal guy who has a particular love for shurikenjutsu, and my current throwing space has only 5 meters of distance, but seeing your long-distance throws really makes me want to find a larger practice space.
