i just picked up a 2008 with a no start condition it had a new battery, starter and who knows what else a rear shock had rotted off so i pulled the bed to repair and check wires at the same time all good then i came across this video and low and behold with the module unplugged it starts and everything works again love it!

My 2008 Silverado had a similar problem but the 5v constant from the mass airflow was only getting 0.3 on my power probe so I probably the back of the fuse panel and followed the wire getting 0.3 and there was a break in it where it went in to the harness fix that all my relays clicked and truck has work ever since

Mine does have the line under. I changed the started just to find out it was good 🙄, before my Denali decided to go on strike it showed me check engine light, and when I turn the key it’s still showing. My next guess would be ignition coils since everything else has check good… huh! Longest week of my life!

Do you have 6l80 trans if so there is a safety neutral switch inside of there that might be yo problem had same issue

Take a push button and two wires run a hot to starter a ground to the starter turn the key on push the button the truck will start

yeah sorry havent even noticed anyone comment and yeah was a pain for the whole damn weekend. I still have that onstar unplugged just put black tape over all the lights on the dash so i dont see them glow lol does the trick. I did have almost the same issue expect it was cranking over just wasnt starting almost replaced the fuel pump but figure it was the ground on the frame that rusted and when it got cold wouldnt make the connection. cleaned the ground up and fired up again. I grew up with Chevy dad was always tinking with his. But he passed just before this and never got the chance to ask him. Then again he never owned on with a Onstar before. but taught me well to track the problem
