Bro I just had a heart attack, yesterday I (low elo) played megarandom and the generation was exactly like this. I lost because I couldn't find stone which turns out wasn't on the map. I even asked in chat like in the thumbnail. Thought this was going to be me 11 phew

its in these moments when t90 is so happy that the serjeants can build donjons that i realize most aoe2 players propably never played Age of Mythology. There are only 4 civs in that game (with very different playstyles) and the vikings can only build with their melee units (except for farms) and so it never seemed so special to me. damn i think i just start that game again xD "volome!"

You know what would be an awesome change to town bell? Though elitists would probably hate it... having it so when town bell is active, rather than everyone in the area immediately heading for TC, only workers who spot an enemy unit within their line of sight will run for the town center as needed.

@@Aerational The devs are hardly able to keep pathing functional, I get concerned that something based on line of sight would be buggy. Maybe it's simpler than I'm thinking, but the way I'm thinking that might work would be you give villagers something like military units aggressive stance chase line of sight(I'm forgetting if we have a better term), but instead of attacking when they see something in range they instead run away. I just get concerned with edge cases like choosing which building to run to and if units will end up running towards or bugging out

​@@ryankasch5561 Things already happen with line of sight... like if a military unit is on aggressive stance they will attack an enemy in their line of sight. You can take that same trigger and apply a different response. Instead of attacking the enemy unit they instead run to TC, as long as town bell is activated.
