Yolink sensors are amazing in my freezer. Took a few minutes to set the temp range for alert. Realized freezer cycles so just had them set to a bit wider range. Long range for signal. Works with Alexa in addition to their hub. So alerts on speakers thru house. The yolink outdoor sensor is great too. Works way away from house on big driveway to tell us someone coming. And turn on lights when coming home at night

We actually had this happen to us, lost an entire freezer of food. The freezer we have has a lock built in, we were just lazy and did not lock it. Now there is a sign on the freezer and it is habit to lock it. Great tip here for those that do not have a lock. I like the sensors. .

What happens if there's a power outage and the wifi doesn't work? Can you set the app to notify you that the hub has lost wifi signal? I know you could plug the wifi router into a ups, but if it's a wider-spread power outage, there likely won't be any internet despite the wifi router having power.

This is such a great idea, we have lost 2 big freezers full of food. Both times workmen used the same plug as the freezer and switched off the wrong plug. Was couple of years apart and soul destroying. Will have to add a few of these to my Christmas list. Your thrifted jumper looks fab Sara xx

Sara you could also add a door window sensor and send alarm to you’re phone when the freezer is open to long ( determined by you ) same company. Question does any one use this on the iPhone or iPad app

@@mattsara2802 I originally bought a Kasa smart plug with energy monitor ep25 for that very reason. Unfortunately I have not found the right notifications for the plug. Telling me it has lost power. Or as it would indicate not responding. Had a detached garage years ago band lost a beef because the outlet tripped. So I just bought what you showed plus the window - door sensors. Awesome video thank you

They are doing great. All we had to do is replace the batteries in January of 24
