You are so funny!!! I love making marks and splashes and I needed it today. I only have wine on Friday , trying to cut down on calories so I definitely enjoy my glass of wine but yes, many times my wine has become a part of my art pieces.

Such enjoyment watching you play with inks; it was so inspiring I decided to go and play using a similar process with ink and high flow acrylic paint. I had a magnificent time; these loose paper creations were just what I needed since I've been sick with a cold this past week. I just put my earbuds in listening to some jazz, and began to make some really interesting marks. From these, I plan to create a larger painting. Thanks for sharing your gift.

This is why I don't use a sketchbook - waiting for the drying. You wind up using loose paper anyway. I use loose paper and glue it in a cheap scrapbook when it is dry. Enjoyed the video.

Hurray, new video, i love watching them Cheryl, ive really taken on some of your tutorials/thuts/ideas etc, its really helped me edge my way into abstract as a beginner. It makes me so happy and last week i finally did a painting i put in a frame, and ur art and leasons/tutorials inspired me to do that series, and one xame out really good, so thank u! Your message meant a lot to me. I remember when I first began painting. I cried over one piece and I thought to myself wow I didn’t realize art was so impactful. I love the fact that you framed a piece, that is do so wonderful. I was in Michael the other day getting a tube of burnt Umber and one of the workers asked me if I was an artist and I said yes and he told me that he’d love to do art but he didn’t think he could, I had a long talk with him about the difference between talent and just practicing to become a good artist and I honestly believe that will take you so so far but practice and just doing art and being inspired and getting in there and doing it and even framing a piece of you art is the path through incredible artist

This video was so relaxing and such an inspiration to just make marks. After your wabi sabi video, I started with just putting some fluid black paint on wet watercolor paper, and this video has moved me to just add some marks and to just enjoy the process. I love that big brush and debated on buying one.

Those brushes are Calligraphy Writing Brushes. They are incredible. I have used a mop brush to splat paint, but the tips on those writing brushes are incredible to work with. Thank you Peggy

YES!!! and it is nice to use some of those marks in your art. You might never think of that mark unless you create it in such a loose free moment!!!

Pelican and waterman pen ink the white is acrylic ink! I use those Japanese calligraphy brushes … my Amazon link has some listed, but if you google Japanese calligraphy all sizes come up!!!!!

the ink i used today is PEN ink, like Pelikan or waterman. I use the fountain pens so use this ink for my pens.
