I could listen to you all day ;) you're a genius btw- I didn't think victory rolls were possible without teasing! I'm excited to try this. Thanks for the video!

Aw, thanks doll! :D It honestly is practice and training your hair! Believe me when I first started my rolls were quite sad indeed and I was just thrilled that they stayed in a roll like shape on top of my head! lol You keep watching and I'll keep making them!

Thanks! :D It does indeed...I still remember my first rolls, I would get so nervous when I finally got it rolled that it was going to all fall out or droop! They were quite sad but I was so proud of them! lol

I *love* this video! My hair is too short to style at all right now (about 3" long after shaving it off haha)... but I have wigs I love to style and I *refuse* to tease them, because I don't want to damage them. I will definitely be trying this!!

This is so pretty . I love that this turned out so perfect without teasing . My hair is so fine , I"m always a bit nervous doing alot of teasing . I have to look for some of that texture spray . I've seen a few tutorials that recomend using that :) Thanks for posting

Have a couple cute casual outfits as well like high waisted jeans with the cuffs rolled up and a cute cardigan...something that maybe doesn't feel so "different" for the days you want to relax a bit. I hope that helps a bit!

Yes, I do remember seeing you tease a hair or twenty! :D I go back tuesday for a touch up...still pulling the red/orange out of my hair which is taking a while, but I really don't want to damage it too badly with bleaching so it's a slow process! Glad you're feeling better chica! I added that hourglass powder to my want list the other day (if it wasn't for Kat Von D I probably bought it today). :D

Thanks so much for this tutorial, I used it before my show last night and I didn't even have to use my extensions. So nice to give my super curly but very fine hair a break.

Honestly I got strange looks the first time I wore a vintage style so that is completely normal! Then I started to get more compliments which makes it so easy to ignore the odd looks! :D I guess my real tip would be go with what you like, what makes you feel pretty and happy! I used to shy away from the really bright colors, but I love them and now I have a ton of bright yellow, lime green, and orange in my closet!

Oh man, for a moment I was hoping you'd do a little "palm tree" (right around 7:24). Hahahaha. You look gorgeous as usual! I actually really never do any sort of roll on first-day hair.. it's always frizzy and way too soft and just falls apart. Nopes! Definitely 2nd day hair all the way. I really love this style, it looks so pretty and easy to re-create with the little hair-poof-pillow in the back. Yay!

@JenniferElise9 жыл бұрын
Susi Rose Yay the world needs more pink haired people!!! :D I've been dying my hair pink for 2 years (i think) it definitely builds up intensity the more you dye it. If you use a vegetable dye like manic panic you can add a bit of it to your conditioner when you wash your hair to add a little more vibrancy to it. ♥

I've been doing this with my hair for months! My hair is REALLY long and I have a very fine texture (natural blonde) so teasing isn't an option for me unless I'm willing to deal with a ton of damage and split ends. Thanks for the tips! Great tutorial!

@JenniferElise11 жыл бұрын
For really long hair I actually find it a bit easier to do the faux method, which I demonstrated in this video: Faux Victory Rolls on Straight Hair - A Vintage Hair Tutorial You can follow the same steps from this video it will just take a little more patience and your rolls will be much bigger. :D

@JenniferElise9 жыл бұрын
Cher England-Johns That's understandable! Best thing when teasing...only tease in one direction (not back and forth) and when removing the tease at night use your fingers to loosen up the tease...don't brush through it. :D
@cherengland39059 жыл бұрын
I am no longer a teasing virgin! I've been watching your videos for a while. Took your hints than took the plunge. I did a beehive that looked awesome if I do say so my self. I'm a little worried about teasing with other "does" because my hair has ALOT of natural volume now that I've started wet setting it again (think poodle with bad hair day or Tina Turner in MadMax).
