I pinch the sides together as I create the chain and don’t have an issue but I’ll give this a try to see if it’s quicker 😊

Thats clever! My method is to NOT join the chain, but just turn and work R1 as if Im working in rows. Then join at the end of R1 as its easier to see whether it's twisted or not then. I use the starting tail to close up the gap.
