A couple other one-hit wonders with weirder-than-usual names from around this time- Scritti Politti- "Perfect Way" Baltimora- "Tarzan Boy" Timbuk 3- "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" (like Nu Shooz, a husband/ wife collaboration)

Speaking of duos, I'd add Boy Meets Girl, starting with their hit "Waiting For A Star To Fall." And from that same album, also "Bring Down The Moon" [another single but not quite as big a hit for some unknown reason], "If You Run" [a truly terrific song], "One Sweet Dream," and "No Apologies" [also excellent].

Dont care for alot of the late 80's stuff, but this is an exception. A lot of real work and production went in to get this sound

My uncle has a VHS tape of a talent show in Tampa, FL early '90s with a rap group called 'Swing Lords' using this sample.

I remember Nu Shooz being on Soul Train, which you rarely saw white acts on this show but, I didn't matter it was about the music , in addition this songs been sample a lot, Vanessa Williams comes to mind her song "Happiness".

For whatever reason this song always automatically makes me think of Stacey Q "Two Of Hearts"

You should see Nu Shooz today! They've aged very well and gracefully, especially Valarie Day. She is as adorable now as Terri Nunn of Berlin ... 😍

Another amazing 80s track! Point of No Return is another great Nu Shooz song others have mentioned. Checkout their slower jam, “Should I Say Yes”, too!

This song will always remind me of an all on the floor dance skate at the roller rink at night in the late 80s and everybody coming out and showing out with glowing wheels, tricks, spins and dancing even the little kids behind the older ones.

I always turn the radio up when this song comes on. Still so good. And yes, I still listen to the radio. Oldschool. I never know what they're going to play, and it's the best.
