Hi fam,
I’m happy to kick off the next era of the Guitar Fam KZbin channel and website with the first of many famous guitar solo videos.
I’ve always loved the solo on the Bob Marley song “No Woman, No Cry” and figured this would be a fun place to start. Al Anderson (Bob Marley’s Guitar Player) did an awesome job with the live execution of the solo, and it’s a perfect lead for working on your major pentatonic scale licks.
My goal with these videos is not only to teach you the solos but also the nuts and bolts of how they work so you can use the ideas you learn in your solos and improv.
You can watch the video by clicking the button below. Of course, we have the jam track and TAB for you to download on the Guitar Fam site.
Let us know if you have any questions or guitar solo video requests. support@guitarfam.com
Have a great day,
Nate

Thanks SO much for this ! I''ve been playing this song forever with my own solo concoction, but I've always known it wasn't accurate. But because of what I can do with the chords in the 1st position, I prefer to play this song in C, rather than C# ( meaning that I start the solo one fret lower down the neck. ) This solo is just about perfect, with so many exquisite melodics hooks ... I just love it.

Awesome cover Dude. How did you do to get this phaser/Flanger sound. It's probably the closest from the original i've heard. Great job.

Did Bob play this in C#? your version is all C# to confirm?
@TheGuitarFam
@TheGuitarFam 24 күн бұрын
I'm not sure what key he actually played it in but it sounds closer to C# on the recording. That could be from any number of tech issues. I did this in C# to be as close to the live recording as possible.
