As an instructor, you can’t please all levels in a single YT video. I really enjoy you taking every part of the lead back yo the chord , pentatonic and CAGED position. It’s the most helpful approach I’ve seen to help players think about solos. It must be an automatic thing for the masters (like Leadon) but this is the road to mastery. Thank you for so much effort.

This is possibly the best instructional video I have ever seen. It is so easy to follow, and I love how it ties everything to the chords and sheet music.

As a lifelong rhythm player now learning to solo it makes a lot of sense to see the chords stuck in there the way you do it. Thanks!

This is really well done, thanks so much. I am really enjoying this on my B-Bender Tele, but I am de-converting it from the original B bender to you doing it without, to me doing it with. Any full step bend on the B string is fair game.

This is a really nice breakdown of an iconic solo. Thanks Nate!
@60retired11 ай бұрын
Bernie Leadon played this using a B-Bender Tele like a lot of country musicians which makes for a much easier way to get those bends more precisely done. I’m struggling trying to get it done the way you and just about everyone else that does it without a B-Bender, not that easy to do but done right can get pretty close. Nice job with the lesson.
@michaelnelson346921 күн бұрын
It's funny. I have a B Bender, and it's hard to find instructional material to play this WITH a bender. Everyone assumes you don't have one, and so everyone shows how to play it without one. I go through these and every time I see a full step bend on the B string, I think "bender!!!" and figure out how to do it with the bender.

Thanks for saying this Tim. I've been going through some challenging practice myself for a while now and thought that this idea of having the chords/scales/arpeggios up along with the TAB would have been very helpful for me. Glad you like it.

Great lesson, that’s exactly how I’ve been playing it, however, Bernie used a B-Bender so all of the B string full step bends were done with the bender. I tried it on my friend’s B-Bender Tele and it actually does sound different. That said, very few folks will have a B-Bender so this is a very good lesson!

Mayb I’m missing the point - but to me playing each pentatonic scale as o go thru the solo is distracting and off subject of that particular solo is moving - just saying - by the time I’ve heard another scale I forget the solo part
