I agree this is journalism but they are also earning crores of money. They are probably in top 1% or even higher. These media houses are the most hypocrite when it comes to class. We paid some part of our salary to our maid for last 2 months even though she didn't worked... The way she thanked us.. It was priceless... For the first time in life ... I felt proud of myself..!!

We too paid the full salary to our maids for two months wen our building was under containment.with god's grace we were able to pay them.they need more than us as they don't have any savings or assets.ppl shud understand this.

I too did the same thing in month of March,April .Now my maid goes to visit her parents for three days,then her sister for two days and expected us to pay her full month's salary.There are some who have taken advantage of this situation.In her absence I had to do all her work for March,April and May.We gave her foodstuffs too ,and now she expects the same treatment though she has an off on Sundays

Sarkar to kuch karegi nahi aur agar karegi to sabko laabh nahi milega. Lekin aap(Quint) to itna kamate hain 4-5 lakh ka ration le jaakar baat diya hota aur receipt sarkar ko de dete reimburse kara lete. Lekin nahi inko to content chahiye, agar content nahi hoga to inki dukan kaise chalegi. Agar is desh me sabse zyada agar koi chahta hai ki gareebi na hate vo hai media, especially private liberal media. Ye paisa hi gareebo se kamate hain.

Mere ghar ki maid kuch din pahle bina bataye kam chor kar chali gayi thi, tab meri wife 7 month pregnant thi and she had a very difficult pregnancy or bohot request karneke bawajoot bhi usne kam nahi kiya, we used to pay her 3500, kam me lagneke 2 mahine baad se hi usne salary baraneke liye pressurize kiya, ab lockdown me jab uski job chut gayi to mere ghar me kaam mangne a gayi to hamne saaf inkar kar diye, this is their reality, they show extreme attitude in normal time,even if someone is extremely ill they don't show humanity,may be because of that their employers are not paying them

My husband is already paying lot of taxes equivalent to looking after 15 families annually. More over he is again taxed when we buy goods, buy or sell properties. So please pardon the middle class, no more social services. Only 30 percent of our population pay income tax and contribute in the development of the whole country. Our tax system is worst in the whole world. We middle class r worst affected in any situation so we have to think about our own pocket before becoming emotional.

Agar itne hi bhale hai jab milne gaye the 4-5 lakh ka ration le jaate aur baat diya hota. If you check the income reports of the people in these private media house you will know how bigoted they are when it comes to class division. I bet their profit must be in crores.

I think this is the situation in the whole of India because of Lockdown. The house-helps have been abandoned. As it is during normal days (before lockdown) they couldn't make ends meet. Now with absolutely no income, they're completely moneyless at the mercy of some generous people. I had also heard that the auto-drivers, etc. were selling their household items to cater to the needs of their families during peak lockdown. There are some self respecting people who have committed suicide because they couldn't provide. All the poor are suffering. I only request we help the people we can, in every way possible!

I agree. However this also depends person to person. I have been giving salaries to my helps since 3 months and have not deducted even a single ruppee despite getting a salary cut myself. I hardly get 30k per month without deduction. But i can't abandon them because my House help is a single mother. How will she manage? This is basic humanity. In our country we treat our house helps like lower class people and don't respect them atall. This is applicable to all waiters, rickshaw pullers, janitors everyone. Because we are classist. The same people who cut salaries from their employees complaint about their employers when the same thing happens to them.

My maids live in nithari, all the big charity and NGO's are also not helping! It's a very difficult time for the poor, individuals are helping in small ways but that's not enough.

Many NGOs and government is donating food packets near Nithar village. Every one has saving for atleast five months to survive this pendamic.

Quint please tell them to go to the nearby Gurdwara to at least have food. No one will question them and they will be able to eat. Every possibility might as well find some other help too.

Many are from West Bengal...their ration over here gets looted and they are facing hardship in other states...one ration card one nation could have come handy here...many people from West Bengal have migrated for lack of jobs here yet My CM Mamata Banerjee will brag that she has given employment to crore of people.

Why Dont their employer pay them if not full salary then at least half or some amount. We have been paying our maid full salary for last 2 month. Everybody should contribute in what ever capacity they can.

When the govt is giving free rations tgen why ahould they starve? Ofcourse the inhuman mentality of the so called rich has come to light dueing this emergency situation. Many of us had given two months full salary. My maid got free salary from four houses and 25kgs rice and other rations from PDS,whereas some got even 35kg rice, money in her bank account and free food from amma canteen in TN. I asked many street vendors and daily workers they said they had no shortage of rations and money was deposited in their account and they managed. This is in TN.

We south Indians are truly blessed because our govt are not as much as inefficient as that of the north and politicians like Ms. Jaylalitha (TN) had worked for improving our state. People in North are especially north east are worst off. I wish we would improve as a society. We can all contribute to better ourselves and our state. Start by electing politicians who work for the improving the state and lives of the people and not for doing religious shenanigans or hindu-muslim hate politics. Let them show that India wants development and not other jumlas.

Please keep humanity first and pay them as much as you can. It might be a little difficult for you but it will help them a lot

Ha ha nice question but they do have families right. Those families may also have maids etc everyone will get affected from school low wage labourers to high. High ppl no issue. But ithers will get affected. Onething private school teachers salary comparitively low than govt teachers. I didnt support anyone here just making a point that all needs money to survive. If one stops it will affect all like a chain reaction

@@karthickb7473 but people who run school have been doing it for a very long time. They atleast should have money to sustain for 7 to 9 months without any fees but still they won't leave it. It is not about if they can but it's about wheather they want tk or not.
