Simple Usain bolt went 6.31 in his 9.58 race. Considering Lyles second half is stronger than his first if he comes through at 6.43 he can probably run 9.69. With any other runner the time might be 9.72.

Doesn’t matter what he says, the facts are 1. He’s nowhere near 9:58! 2. He’s not even in the all-time top 10! 3. He’s been beaten soundly and his 3rd fastest this year and yes I’m counting the altitude time! 4. At least 4 current runners have better PBs! 5. He doesn’t have a WR or an Olympic solo gold and 1 won’t cut it either! Nobody is raining praises on Asafa who has 98 sub 10s!
