Being Queer - any kind of queer. gay, lesbian, bi, trans, asexual, nonbinary, or whatever else - is not their ''fault'', nor their choice. It is _not_ something they could ever have changed about themselves, and the fact that they were almost thrown out of their home for that is horrifying. Even more so should they still be a minor, as many of the people I've known, talked to and heard of that went through this kind of thing have been. And this shit still happens way too fucking much. Not to mention as a cishet allo person you _do not get to say that the fear of coming out is not horrible_ when you have never lived it. And I don't know if you've ever been discriminated against or hated for something you cannot change, but judging by your ridiculous lack of empathy I'm going to go ahead and assume you haven't. "A lot less than you think'' my ass. There are people out there that want to murder us for something that is as innate to us as is our eye-color or skin-color. Kids are being bullied at school, treated horribly at home by their own damn families, disrespected constantly, just for who they are. Fuck, there are entire countries with laws that would throw us into prison or kill us in cold blood. Not to mention the mental and emotional pain that many of us are in, either because of the aforementioned abuse and discrimination once we've come out, or those of us who can't come out for fear of the consequences. The suicide rates among the LGBTQ+ community are no joke, and it's unempathetic, judgmental, privileged morons like you that are the reason for it. I know you're likely just a troll, but regardless there's still a person behind every account, and I hope that person one day learns to stop assuming their limited perspective means they can pass judgement upon the lives and the suffering of others. The way I cringed when he said “She.” It didn’t sit right with me at all- I’m so sorry for his behaviour. He’s not a true Christian. He’s an asshole. @@c.lineofficial yeah basically just spread God’s word and accept him into your life. No sin is greater than another and btw being gay isn’t a sin. The accurate translation is “Man shall not lay with boy.” Meaning don’t sleep with kids if ur a an adult because that’s disgusting. Another one is “love thy neighbour.” And this means even if you don’t like the person you should still show compassion towards them because they’re people and they have feelings like everyone else. There’s no rule in the Bible saying the LGBT+ community is sinning. That’s what being a true Christian means. This guy is no where near being a true Christian. True Christians are out there. I go to a Christian school and I’ve met a lot of “Christians” that suck. But I’ve met a lot of true Christians as well. They’re really nice and they accept anyone for who they are. (Except like racist, homophobic, transphobic losers and other people.) They also don’t force their religion onto people and they kinda just chill. They really don’t care what you do and one of my Christian friends told me it hurts He when people claim they’re “Christians” And then act entitled and selfish. Exactly, my mom usually decides that a trans person and this is a quote is "a they/them" if they're not cis which baffles me but feels almost better than just outright ignoring that someone is trans in the first place, it isn't even better it's still a problem. When speaking to other people they also seem to have experienced this which at first shocked me but somehow after trying to understand where they're coming from, it doesn't make sense ofc, but in their minds it's that trans individuals don't want to have a gender which is their way of understanding it. When someone is just using she/her, in this case, instead of he/him it's knowing they're wrong and doing it on purpose to be mean.

@@Ash_Carnelian apparently, it's been corrected but upon further inspection it was just an anti-gay/anti-lesbian bill that would provide heterosexual couples a different contract for routes to get married bUT they didn't include an age limit until recently after receiving confused/concerned backlash. Basically, even tho it wasn't the goal it could have been a byproduct of the bill and without the backlash who knows what kind of people would have taken advantage of the loopholes in it. It also would have only applied to straight couples, meaning straight men could marry young girls and straight women could marry young boys if it went through without backlash. Pretty crazy.

Today was my grandfather's 98th birthday; meaning that our closest family gets together and celebrates over cake and a big dinner. Well, once we were done celebrating and eating cake; the adults began the usual talk of politics and drama going around the world right now. Some of that talk just happened to be about weather people of the LGBTQ+ community deserve the right to get married, change their gender, etc. My family is quite religious. All Christians (I've been an atheist ever scents I was a young child). I overheard so much none scents that I couldn't even talk. I could not believe that my family could be so against and frankly curler about what they thought about it. My grandparents were literally saying stuff like "If I ever saw one of those lgbt's; I would sh**t them on the spot" or "those kinds of people are why hell exists" to which my own parents agreed. This was disgusting. Not to mention I forcibly came out to my parents last year that I was bisexual so they were basically saying that stuff about their own child as well.

I'm cis-het, so I don't have a "practical experience" for you. I remember someone saying that you should first make sure that you're safe, but I think that you could still "test the water" and approach this issue while retaining a certain amount of plausible deniability. I mean, if she's not outright hostile, you still have space to try to teach her - for exemple, by showing her "anti-mask" videos from Sam Collins of from other passing trans people (or even a video from Philosophy Tube) and not telling her that they are trans (so, ideally, show her videos not tied to gender or orientation first); if she begins to enjoy their contents, you might show her a video of them speaking about trans issues or even coming out so that she'd learn slowly that trans people are indeed people. Then, you can see how she reacts and if she learned more about trans people and their issues. If her religion "gets in the way", you might want to show her religious people or arguments in favour of LGBT people and see her reaction there too. Though, as I said, you should try to maintain plausible deniability, so that would mean that you'd have to not be too obvious about it, so ideally try to tie those things into your "routine" - for exemple, if you already talk about politics, or if you show her funny videos, then you can "disguise" those as a mere part of this.

Because “non binary people don’t exist because you guys don’t have to transition” even though I wanna look less feminine later on in life because it gives me gender dysphoria. People are telling me that I’m a freak, mentally ill, deserve to be put in a mental hospital, because I wanna use they/them pronouns. And people also make fun of us as if we think we have dissociative identity disorder. (Disclaimer: I don’t think less of people with DID, their going through a lot because of all the movies and negative stigma telling them that their dangerous. And it sucks. DID people can function just as well as anyone without it. They just have to live differently.) but. I’m luckily recovering from the mental problems from all of that. As a person raised in a Christian home.... yeah, this is exactly what church is like. I'm still forced to go to church every weekend, and this is *exactly* what the teach about. They talk about the "culture war" and victimize themselves talking about how they're being persecuted by the "wordy" and things such as (and I kid you not, this was exactly what a priest at my church said) "the evils of transgenderism and things that make us happy on earth" and it's genuinely really sad. Like there's nothing wrong with religion, nothing wrong with being Christian AT ALL, I still have almost entirely Christian friends, but the fact that so many Christians are speaking in such definite and such "You have to believe this, we are at war, everyone has to believe this, we won't stop until everyone accepts Jesus" is terrible to see, and it's what made me leave Christianity and convert to paganism. Ngl, if it wasn't for how many Christians are like this man, I would probably still be Christian.
@Jade_of_Jaiden3112 жыл бұрын
I can confirm as a Christian, me and my brother studied the Bible and nowhere does it mention how being gay is anything of a sin, ultimately people who act like it is are stupid and don’t realize that liking the opposite gender isn’t a personality, it doesn’t define who you are the way culture and religion can sometimes influence, being part of the community isn’t the same thing as being Christian, Muslim, catholic, Islamic or even being atheist. And that’s just a few examples, what makes someone Christian shouldn’t be their lack of fruitiness, it should be their love and appreciation for god and the people around them, it seems like people who claim that they are “Christian” tend to forget the fact that just because you believe in god that doesn’t automatically make you a good human being. Why is it that people who claim to be Christian and openly express their “love” for other and for god also are the ones who assume the worst about every OTHER religion and the people around them, you aren’t god y’all- god is god. And it legitimately sucks how people have let their personal beliefs get to their head to the point where they aren’t even considered DECENT human beings, much less good ones. We have never actually gotten to ask and speak to god about whether being gay is truly a “sin”, people just started to assume that because humanity happens to be accepting more and more people from the community, and apparently that scares people? We’re all human, nobody is better than the other and you don’t need to be Christian to realize that. People aren’t required to support the community, but I’d appreciate it if they would respect our decisions and move on with their lives, rather than ridiculing us and making entire advertisements and videos explaining why it’s “wrong”. There’s a huge difference between supporting someone’s decisions and respecting them, and these quote unquote “Christians” don’t seem to care for that difference. Once again, we are not god- no one is better than the other and People who simply CLAIM to believe in Christ certainly need to stop acting they are. (Edit) sorry this was pretty long, in a way this was a personal issue as well as a lot of my parents and friends are ALSO exactly how you described, however most of them actually know the difference between supporting someone and respecting them.

I think it's definitely considered a sinful thing, proven by some through Leviticus 18:22, but to be honest? Its even more sinful to harass and judge others for a decision that is rightfully theirs, people certainly struggle with same sex attraction- but despite sin being the reason for that, I simply cannot say that i hate these people for following their heart, as the majority of them aren't Christian and don't know any better- thank you for correcting me about the Bible aspect of that though, I appreciate the effort there, have a great day : ) Edit: my point is- I know it is possible for people to go to hell for sexual relationships with a same gender person, however on earth- we dont judge adulterers or sexually immoral people the way we do with gay sinners if they choose to go down the path of sin- that is their own decision, and I will never view those people as bad ones, just misunderstood and unjust people whom I have no business going up to and harassing for their life's decisions, it's their business- not mine, and while what they ar doing is wrong, and I respect you for recognizing that as a fellow Christian, I'm not comfortable judging them for it- same as the fact that we don't judge a drunk person for getting drunk.

@@onyxtheowl24 Yeah I understand it's very hard for me to also be justified for the belief that homosexuality is bad. It's uncontrollable I know but we believe with the help of God you can change. Love how he said that LGBT people are the most "privileged " community to exist. Meanwhile in the US there have been over 200 bills/ laws effecting LGBT folks since the START of 2022. It's only April. These bills mainly effect trans folk. One recently I believe in Tennessee was introduced to effectively ban gay/ LGBT marriage. I now have to figure out how to move to in California from across the country to live with my parents because hate crimes have gone up on the LGBT community in the south where I live now. Christians so badly want to be oppressed it's pathetic. I recently found your videos and I love them. Keep doing what you're doing, and you have great music. Have a good rest of your day💜

The hate in this country is honestly disgusting. I had no idea that Tennessee was trying to outlaw 🏳️🌈marriage! Also, are your parents in Northern California or southern? I’m just wondering because I live in California too.

@@multifanderisverycrafty They arnt necessarily banning gay marriage they just REALLY want to. Because they can't legally ban it the state has proposed a bill for common law marriages (people living together as a married couple but who do not have a marriage license) that will only apply to straight relationships. They didnt even have legally recognized common law marriages before, theyre just introducing it so they can exclude gay people.

I totally get what Noah is saying about transitioning because as a trans person myself, it’s really hard being in a transphobic household sometimes because sometimes you feel like you have no purpose because it’s really painful waking up in a body you’re not comfortable in.

@Kako Field I'm so sorry that you're experiencing this. My heart hurts for you. I knew I was supposed to be a born xy from my 2nd birthday (I'm one of those weird ppl. who has the autism with the 'parlour tricks': one being having verified memories from 2½mo. old·onward). Anyhow, I'm a coward in that I exist in a body I'm 100٪ not "supposed" to be in ‐ cos of ptsd from religious abuses, I chose to hide myself behind the painful existence of not being me. Now that the world's finally becoming more accepting (despite the evangelicalUSarseholes), my health is far too terrible to even remotely try to transition. I definitely feel for you. And I hope you're able to get through the time being in order to get to where you find your place of peace, self, & serenity. As a bisexual Christian, I always hate when people act like this! My very strict Christian family accepted me and my gender fluid cousin without batting an eye. My parents love my trans friend and never call him by any wrong pronouns. It makes me so angry when Christians attack people who are different that they're going to hell.
