I guess I just want somewhere to share my story. When I was 19 I took shrooms, and it was like I was turned inside out. As a child, I was very extroverted and loved being around people. And after the shrooms, I felt disconnected from everyone and everything around me. I just wanted to alone. I am learning to feel happiness from within myself, not running from myself. It's been a LONG and PAINFUL process but once it's healed, it's healed and beautiful.

I love Shiitake. Here in the Netherlands they are widely available and not expensive. Lucky me!
@notmyworld44 Жыл бұрын
👍 You might have noticed that during the processing and preparation the stems were carefully removed from each mushroom and discarded. Unlike most edible mushrooms, the stem of the Shiitake is tough and fibrous, and therefore inedible. Edible mushrooms are very rich in much-needed rare earths and trace minerals, which our typical American diet is sorely lacking in. There is also something in edible mushrooms called polysaccharides, which are highly beneficial essential nutrients.

This is the first time I hear about such mushrooms, are they generally edible? They don't look as appetizing.) But the growing process itself is interesting, it seems to me that if the logs were placed in the basement, a similar result would be obtained.

You can farm your own mushrooms very easily from the "wild", I use the playground next to my house! There is a little shed on there, behind it are some trees where I dumped a bunch of wood chips. If you simply dump the bottom cuttings from the mushrooms you eat over at the chips pile... it will eventually grow mushrooms!

Are we listening to an AI voice? I eat shiitake almost every day.. The last batch were very small shiitake from China. I rehydrate them for 2 days in the fridge. They are so small that it takes 8 mushrooms to make a side dish. The taste is fine. The stipes of shiitake are tough but do not have to be discarded. I smash the stipes with a mallet or turn them into a pulp in the blender along with the mushroom water that they were soaked in.

Great video as always ! Small note: when you pronounce "in 100g of mushrooms" It is pronounced "100 grams" not "100 G". When pronouncing only the letter G it means you are describing force of acceleration as in pilots.
