Out of his depth. Cringeworthy stuff from Little. He decided to take an agressive stance against Chomsky for some reason, then didn't even listen to him. Idiot. Chomsky, you are a genius.

+djdaforce22 He isnt fit to bring Chomsky a glass of water, let alone interview him. Trying to be a tough guy because you have not the intellect to back you up looks pretty sheepish.

Has a legitimate claim to the greatest American intellectual alive.

88 years old. Don't blame the interviewer too much. We have nearly 5 million then we have the US population. The law of averages applies. Wish this guy got more coverage, globally. Guess why not.

What an embarrassing interview, have to admire Chomsky's patients.

Surely RTE has someone more intelligent than this fellow to interview Chomsky?
@GiantSandles12 жыл бұрын
I don't have a problem with the question the interviewer asks per se (because obviously it's better that he challenge the person he's interviewing), but it was pretty annoying to see Noam have to repeat his answers over and over a lot of the time to get the point through.

actually i like how the interviewer IMO respectfully challeneges chomsky, i dont see how he is treating him unfairly. okay he pushes this conventional wisdom-state propaganda but that's for NC then to tear down and he does it eloquently. i grant the critics that the interviewer may not be as hard-hitting on elected officials and leaders cos MM journalists cater to power
@Jack7282412 жыл бұрын
That's very depressing. Is Irish intellectual life really at such a low ebb, or does RTE screen out anybody with an IQ above room temperature?

7.40 'I'm sorry, you didn't follow the logic of it.' Sums up the whole interview really.

Totally disrespect shown by Little. Little has U.S roots so he tried to get personal.

The guy tried to pigeonhole Chomsky into being a tanky and Chomsky says that yo they hate me so much. They canceled linguistics for 30 years.

@fugazipk Spot on. I truly think no one put up that interviewer to ask those questions. He does little research, and all this questions are based on baseless allegations by Chomsky's least serious critics. I bet there were more serious and fair reporters working for Pravda in 70's than there are in the mainstream nowadays.

Aren't we lucky to have Noam Chomsky to judge War? After all, who could be better qualified on such an important topic, than a Linguistics Professor, with ZERO Real World Experience in Government, Law, Military, Foreign Policy, International Affairs, or National Security, and whose criticisms of others all have the great luxury of 20/20 Hindsight! This makes perfect sense-Right??? UGH-It is a tragedy that anyone actually takes this ridiculous old man seriously! smh

Let us remember Ireland never lifted a finger to stamp out European Nazi tyranny although a lot of Irish people did.

Absolutely. A relative tiny nation, if we had nukes!. But Irish men did join the British Army in droves, for the money mainly. My Irish friend Ian Malone died for them too in Iraq. We did get a little compensation www.irishtimes.com/news/pilot-s-error-blamed-for-bombs-that-brought-second-world-war-to-dublin-1.585793 . A 20 pound suit. Thanks Ian and the fwit Irish Army he could not join.
