The corporate propaganda within them is often as striking. The halls at my work had mirrors that said "I am [company name]". How creepy is that shit?

Yeah, it's extremely dystopic. For me, there are many other things that are widely accepted that are dystopic, like seeing a truck full of animals that are going to be killed because their whole life turns around human profit and pleasure.

I'm just glad we've had him with us as long as we have. I only wish I had "discovered" him sooner, but in my younger days I simply accepted as a given the harsh narrative of who he is and what he believes. Oh, well. Better late than never, as the saying goes.

Me too. I am very worried. His supreme intellect has been able to express the sentiment of many of us. His indisputable logic and his amazing eloquence is more powerful than money or guns. He disarms bigots and skilled manipulators. They cannot ridicule or smear him like they do to other less intelligent/skilled advocates of change. He is a giant.

There is no totalitarianism because the corporation is not using the proverbial gun to force those workers. It’s economic power and that can only turn to totalitarianism through using it to influence those who carry the gun, and that is the state.

Chomsky, from everything I have seen, only deals in the obvious. Listen carefully to all of his speeches, all he does is list things. Things that the public sentiment already knows about for the most part. Where is his *why* and *how* analysis, or any analysis for that matter. Don't take my word for it, look for the detailed analysis (he's supposed to be an academic, not a news reader) and you will not find it.

Why is it considered amazing these days when someone speaks with succinct candor, telling us all what we already know/should know. I think these are volatile times of the Strauss-Howe generational theory and why willfully ignorant, "right-think/speak", seems to be perpetuating the very problems we rail about. I hope we transition into the next cycle as soon as we possibly can because I think the longer we linger in the current cycle, the cumulative harm to the people may reach irreversible levels and potentially inhibit the species meaningful progress or of addressing a major non-manufactured threat. Comedy and tragedy are linked for a reason. Observe the past and note the end result of "bread and circuses". May the Universe have mercy on human-kinds insanity(not likely, regretfully) It feels like I can only depend on chance lately. My 2cents. What do you think? SPQR forever?

a good, a recent, example Manufacturing consent ...... the Vaccine ,....... instead of questioning the Pharma Industry's narrative .... Noam Chomsky argued that those who remain unvaccinated should be segregated, saying that obtaining food after they had "the decency to remove themselves from the community" was "their problem."
