His book "thinking fast..." was heartily criticized for its reliance upon shoddy psychology research. I wonder how much of his research has been subjected to replication studies. Sounds like an interesting thinker either way.

20:07 is it "think," or is it better explained by "see" the lines as different. The lines are distorted during the process of creating the conscious representation of them. Yes, they would be represented on the retina properly, but it's in the conversion of visual data into visual experience where the distortion occurs
