Hi Friends, I had an amazing time time at NAMM. Bernhard Nobels gave me a Nobels ODR-1 overdrive pedal to try and let us have as a giveaway! This is very exciting! I've never personally used one, but I wanted to give it whirl because I have recorded many amazing guitarists that love this pedal. This overdrive pedal that will give you lots of tonal options and add an extra layer of versatility to your guitar recording! Plus it was so much fun to use!

Your right it's responsive & very versatile sounds like a great O.D. , Love that lil Gtr army you did at the end. Great players make good gear sound Great! One of the more useable OD/Distortion I've heard but it might be certain players stick w/one style or setting. Great Job Warren as always.

I love the Nobels stuff. They are not very common here in germany allthough they were designed here. I still have a Phaser from them from the 90s with like a thousand knobs. Always kept it because its quite the opposite of my MXR Phase90 :)

Jeez... right away in the neutral position I liked it! I usually expect to have to twiddle the knobs more than that for a good tone ;) Thanks Warren

What a pure distortion sound and the spectrum knob is excellent ... though it does fit a specific gerne of "rock".

Yes, if you only use it in one position! Turned down it's really sweet for blues and melody playing, plus of course rakes and a little crunch!

Great sounding pedal. Love the track you came up with. Wish you'd do a follow up video and how you mixed these guitar tracks. I loved how you spaced them out in the stereo field and could hear each guitar part. (Minus the mud that can come from mixing that many guitar tracks.)
@Producelikeapro7 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris! Thanks very much! Yes. I intend to eventually do a solo album! Haha This is without EQ, Compression, Reverbs, Delays...just the straight tone!

Warren, after 4 years of learning guitar on KZbin, I've seen all the pedal demos I can take - and don't want to see more. But, that was the best pedal demo I have seen in a great while. Excellent mixing and video editing. I believe you've surpassed Pete Thorn's quality. Excellent job.

If you ever get the chance check out the OKKO Diablo Gain Plus OD pedal, handmade in Germany and I have not found anything that sounds as good and is as versatile. I have Boss's 1st Bass Chorus petals & I like it better than Boss's other chorus petals w/Gtr in some cases. I'm sure it would ok w/a tweak of that middle mystery knob / eq. I used a bass amp to play thru for a few years w/a Vox Super Fuzz from the 60's sounded great. If it sounds good then it is good.
