I really love this film, Hutch is an interesting character, hes not really out for revenge, like john wick, its more a story about self discovery, or re-discovery, that being mass murder and violence. It fixes his marriage, makes him happier, and through the film you have a hard time telling if hes loving it, or dreading it. Hutch seems like a person who loves violence, but hates the idea of him being a violent person. I love his character.

What I really like about this scene was how in the beginning Hutch was crossing his fingers. You might think he was doing that because he hoped they wouldn't come after him, but I think it's the opposite. You can tell he missed this life so my take is that he hoped they would come after him so he could in turn destroy all of them.

My thoughts exactly, its the same thing as the drunks on the bus, he was smiling when he saw them, he was ecstatic inside that he had a good excuse to just go wild and put them all in the hospital. Action montages with well-known songs are hit-and-miss propositions. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. This one works, mainly because it hits the all the action shots with long takes, few close-ups except to show the most intense reactions, and the song underscores the actions that Odenkirk takes. When the car chasing Odenkirk soars out of control and Pat Benatar sings, "You're the right kind of sinner..." it somehow makes overall narrative sense. I can't explain how, but it works. And it works superbly!

I’m a man who’s been watching action movies for 24 years, I finally got around to watching this one the other day and it’s the best thing that could be considered an action movie since Mad Max: Fury Road. This movie was way better than John Wick and could do Hong Kong era John Woo proud.
