Thank you Chef and #Webspoon team for the tips and tricks. Nice to hear a bit of my grandparents music :) I've got one for you! Take one cob of corn, unpeeled, and cook in the microwave for 3:30 seconds. Remove, cut about 2-3 cm off of the bottom. Take a kitchen towel and wrap it tightly around the top end with the tassels. From the wrapped end squeeze the cob out of its leaves from the tasseled end. No stringy bits left in the corn to get caught in your teeth. yw 💛💙

Thank you so much for this video! The tip you used involving the elastic band on the flour container brought back a memory from when I was a young girl. In the 1960’s, I remember watching how my Mom would open a fresh can of baking powder: take off the clear plastic cover, use a sharp knife to cut one half of the circular paper closure off, leaving the other half circle still attached to the can. The straight edge of the half circle made a convenient level when measuring baking powder.

There's a tomato trick where you cut the bottom of the tomatoes the same way, place them in a bowl (cut side up), pour boiling water over them (totally emersed), let sit for 30-60 seconds, peel the tomatoes, & drop them into an ice bath to cool.

That's how he's "slipping the skin" instead of taking the time to boil water. Seems for just those few seconds the microwave would not harm the food. 🤔 I dunno, works for me! You can slip peach skins in boiling water too.

@@WebspoonWorld :))) I love Ukraine too. Dearly. First time I meet Ukrainians was here, in Portugal, back in 1975. Was a large group of agricultural workers who were presented to us as "russians" but I was a child and a very curious one, so I managed to learn from them they were from Ukraine - not "russians"! - I am Portuguese. Portugal is the only independent country in Iberia... I get your spirit, your drive and I stand up for you. Always. Slava Ukrainia.
