It’s because he’s really bad as a normal hero, but he works great as a support hero. The best way to describe sohei is like a perfectly built and indestructible foundation….but they just forgot to build the rest of the house

What skills 🤣 light into heavy heavy, soft feint into light or let go the heavy and blockade if the ennemy dodges attack, zone for unblockable mix and abuse the heavy into bash. He just has poor range for group fights and no good opener

People "cried" because when he one-shots you, especially from an external it is complete bull shit. Playing as him you get ridiculously low damage. People stopped calling op and started calling him what he really. Bullshit. His attacks shouldn't be so weak because the defender has minimal reason to risk getting gb by making a parry attempt and his gimmick is bullshit to be punished with because 90% of the time it isn't your fault he has the souls. Edit: He sucks to play because his gimmick is the only thing going for him and winning a fight with one attack is boring and unengaging to most understandably so because most enjoy the duel, not the thought of "I won" while every other attack and limited chains means the only people that like him do so because they like the gimmick, not his half assed moveset. He's annoying to fight and fight as. That's where the "op" crowd went. They noticed he wasn't op but worse, fundamentally flawed.

These days I have Monk in every damn game, his super safe mixups that you have to guess all the time became well known it seems. High level hitokiri substitute, takes barely any skill to do well on: leg sweep, leg sweep cancel, kick, top undodgable into gb, WOW, everyone spams the same shit and you have to guess.

He requires a lot of skill. Can't tell you the amount of times I died w him. But I found a way to play w him. Except against hardcore players, of course. Those dudes block, parry and dodge everything. Even lights.

Sohei sucks it’s not about skills, at high level everybody is challenging your feints they know you want your GBs and he does no damage, his offense is flow chart opener into zone into light or unblockable. And he sucks when he is out numbered, why would you bother playing that when Varangian and pirate do unblockable on unblockable…

No one plays him because he's butt. Requires so much preparation to get actual value. First you have to get souls, which is difficult if anyone else is around and your teammate is stupid or enemies smart. Next is that you are not allowed to die because you'll lose all of your built-up souls, which good luck with that because his anti-gank sucks major butt (only actual tool is hyperarmor in-chain zone). Oh yeah, you want actual consistent damage? Get to tier 3 for some damage only if you have souls. So far the most value I have had is being a stall god with tier 2, and a support character with tier 1.

Soon as I seen those light parries, I called Zeno scripts… but I know he is a hard Character to win with but its high rewards… just need to learn to be patient with him and not spam… But just watch videos of For Honor and call out the cheats/Scripts…. It’s deny, deny, deny… Until you get banned or caught on stream.. Then a big apology 😢… Not understanding how you have ruined the experience for the rest of the community
