of course. because the reason there is no "native american cinema" for these people to have "representation", is none of them were interested in it enough to create their own movies/shows. so there aren't many native american actors, never mind ones who are also deaf and one legged. so they had to go with a person who isnt an actor, even with the child actor you can tell from the credit at the end, that they just worked with the actual people of the tribe, and they got them a bunch of people who weren't actors. So its pretty much like troll 2, a bunch of people who live in a town where the filming is happening get to be in the film because they're conveniently there. There lead actors is in the movie because she's checked all the right boxes, not because she can act. and they didnt bother to give any of them acting lessons.

Some of them such as Graham Greene and Tantoo Cardinal have well over 100 acting credits to their names and most of the others like Devery Jacobs, Chaske Spencer, and Cody Lightning each have acted in over three dozen projects.

It says in the Wikipedia article about thise show that the actress thought the characters Photographic Reflexes ability was "lame" and was glad it was removed from the character. So the fans have no say in this. Even though that's an ability the audience would love to see portrayed well. My latest kick is going to the IMDB and comparing old good shows like Daredevil to Secret Invasion and Echo. Look at the credits behind the showrunners and writers. Daredevil writers tended to have 50+ credits for single episodes, and 100+ for the upper tier consistent writers and showrunners. Meanwhile Secret Invasion and Echo are averaging 0-4 credits for experience and the showrunners have like 4 shows between them, and only a few seasons at that. Plus the old writers had genre experience, unlike the new ones.. it explains everything.

As newly introduced character Bo-Katan, Katee inexplicably had to rescue the inexplicably now-clumsy and inexplicably dumb titular character of The Mandalorian continuously, on the second such rescue in 5 minutes seeing a bad special effect that inexplicably meant SHE was 'the one' to reunite Mandalore according to the inexplicably all female inexplicably ethnically diverse and inexplicably helmetless Mandalorian upper management who then accepted the titular character back into the fold on condition he kept his helmet ON and she could leave hers OFF, and suddenly The Rando-lorian became the face of The Mandalorian in KK's new publicity posters alongside a trashcan that may or may not contain Pedro the voice actor, previously known as Mando *The* Mandalorian. *At that point I cancelled Disney+ and you can see from the first line I wrote that it has NOTHING to do with strong female characters, it's even the SAME actress but with a script aimed at this 'modern audience' they can't seem to find.* They always weaken the males and make the females SUPER overpowered with NO explanation and it isn't necessary because *The Expanse managed to make EVERYONE look good,* and we absolutely loved the tough Belter women, some of us a little TOO much. Anyway, I later learned that Pedro handed the woman who stole his show his testic- his sacred weapon (kinda the same thing really) because She Is Now The One. My 2c? *THIS IS NOT THE WAY*

I remember being terrified of Fisk when he was the antagonist of Dare Devil. He was big, powerful, and larger than life. I'd rank him a top 5 list of villains with Darth Vader and Skeletor. The Fisk in Echo is not the same guy. He's been humanized and stripped of everything that made him the imposing antagonist he was in Dare Devil. It's sad because Fisk is by far Vincent D'Onofrio's best and most memorable role.

Ugh that stupid fight scene and the lacrosse game. These writers don’t know how reality works. Lacross was a lethal game involving tackling and stabbing. It wasn’t uncommon for a match to turn into combat and no tribe in there right mind would ever put women in the middle of that. Even the Iroquois (a literal matriarchy) didn’t allow women to enter combat or combat sports because they knew they couldn’t handle it. In fact it was seen as disrespectful of women to do that because that’s what men were for in their society. And I remind you that they were the most liberal of the Native American nations. Whoever wrote this had no clue what the fuck they were talking about as far as Native tribes. And that’s not even getting into the physics of women fighting men which I could write a book about on its own as to why it doesn’t work. I hate this pandering shit and double hate this ignorance of Native American culture that portrays them this way. It’s worse than how the Scots were portrayed in Braveheart.

Netflix should start sending checks in the mail to Disney again to let them put the Netflix shows back on their own service like before. Disney will eventually be desperate. Solely relying on D- and Hulu- in the long run is a bad strategy.
