The story of this series is indeed very weird, and the fact that they made the priest evil here is a dumb cliché. I mean how're vampires needed to be involved in the French Revolution, and they really making Christians evil for no reason whatsoever.

This movie was made for girls. It was said that the directors wanted to make Shelly the crow but change it to making Eric the Crow. Hence why Shelly comes back at the end of this movie. Eric is an emo feel sorry for me guy that girls will like and think they could save him. Shelly is the strong female who is the bad girl with issues. It uses the Crow name to get people to watch it but its not a Crow movie. The same thing was done with The Joker. its nothing to do with the comic book Joker the name is just used to get people to watch the movie.
