Tokyo Locals show us best areas outside of tourist hot spots to enjoy Japanese Culture Day! This week we have enjoyed a full Tokyo experience! With Japan reopening we have been fully embracing Tokyo Life. This has been an absolye full on week. We even experience an earthquake!! We rent bicycles to explore the beautiful Meguro River. We start off by visit Emperor's Imperial Palace, but soon start to explore the more unseen sides of Tokyo! We particularly enjoy Vintage Shopping & Nightlife in the Koenji district, very hipster! We even manage to squeeze in some climbing in the city!! And as always we eat ridiculous amount of vegan food.

We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But now we are back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe and beyond!!

Having your own space where you can spread out is something we defo miss and being able to cook for ourselves in the van. This is definitely the right decision to be van free for now, we need the break from the stress, but we are also looking forward to having our own little pad again when we return ❤️

Thanks Alan. We only have one more video in Tokyo and then off into nature. Trying to source a van for next month, but it's mighty expensive. So trying to find a company that offers super small vans so its cheaper who are willing to rent to foreigners. Lots of them say Japanese residents only. But we are trying!!

Love how chilled everyone around us was 🤣, like it wasn't even happening lol, but it went on for a long time! I kept worrying it would get bigger but it faded away. Apparently if it going to be a big one the government will warn people so thats why everyone just ignored it cuz they know it's not gonna be big. You slept through one, like a nice vibrating bed in a motel haha. So glad it's making you want to return, we love Japan so much 🥰🥰

No damage to our house though, we were 40 miles from the epicenter, where the damage there was a few fallen chimney pots and cracked walls.😁

Keely is never wrong . She's often times confused . But she's never wrong . I wouldn't want to be within a hundred miles when she's on a bike . Great camera work Philly . Emperor seems to have a big yard . Here in the United States you can't get close to the White House . Every President gets to change the yard anyway they want . For example one President put in a swing set for his two daughters . The next President had it removed . Every wife of the president designs her own China and always leaves it behind when they move out . Must be a lot of dishes in the White House somewhere .
