The SS Jumbo absolutely is not some run of the mill paper thin wood board. Its a chunky bat one of the greatest ever. My father has one from his FC days and it compares really well with my 2011 GN Oblivion LE. The middle in the Jumbo is for sure better and longer. GN oblivion middle was a little wider.

During ViV Richards' time, bouncer was not allowed in ODIs (they would be called no ball). In 2001, the 1 bouncer per over law came into affect in ODIs, while the 2 bouncer rule came into affect in 2012.

To do this to one of the fastest bowlers of all time, without a helmet, no chest guard, uncovered pitches, not too many batting manuals or coaches, not too many videos to look at to get used to the action, infact very few tours maybe once in 4 years to get used to someone's action, no ipl, no fitness training at current level, no bowling machines, no simulation and bang, that's the shot. Imagine what a player He would have been with all these aids!!! A pure natural!!!!

He would have loved to play this shot even without leg pads and gloves. No 1 fearsome Batsman of all time !!!!

More than the shot, its the casual attitude that will irk the bowler. Extraordinary confidence from the king!
