I worked in the UAE about a decade ago and my boss had a Apple iPhone 2 with a solid gold case and a diamond embedded in the home button. He paid $60k at an auction for desirable low number plates on his Lamborghini. He said the top bid for the #5 plate was $11 million. Money has a different value in the region. He also got $12k in speeding fines in the 8 months he owned the car before he destroyed it by sliding sideways into a broken down bus at 250 kph on an exit ramp. Exit ramps have no automated speed cameras. Late at night, he usually went "slow" on the highways until the exit ramps where he tested the limits of his ride.

The AMG SLS, is special, because it was not deveoloped or build by Mercedes Benz, it was 100% a AMG build. That makes it a unicorn, and they do drive very differently (i.e. better handeling and response) compared to MB build cars.

For me, Koenigsegg is my HALO car and people don't talk about them enough.
