RESET your Bow Setup for the new training season- made simple

Today's a great day because it kicks off my winter training season and it’s time to reset. Before I get going in the range, I need to do a quick rundown and reset for my Bow Setup and string life. This is a great practice to get into so your gear is ready for reps and your are able to assess your technique instead of your tuning. In this video I walk you though a 15 minute service checkup to make sure my strings and cables are good to go and also my cam timing is on point. I also make an assessment of my serving and loop health to decide if those need to get done as well. Lastly, let get that peep back in position to kick off the new year!

Hey Dud, a little hack fir you: instead insterting the rest's cord into the fibers' cable, try to do a knot like one of the D-loop. The cord Will spin freely around the cable and don't will go up, due to the cable's serving.

MFJJ suggests that the cam lean should be checked at full draw, any thoughts on that?

You have a node on the drive cable of the shelf. You can do even better- the cable is fixed at rest and the second end of the cable can be moved through the cable when the shelf rests against the stop. After that, the end of the cable must be passed back a little higher by about an inch and thus stops without a knot. The advantage of this method is that you can adjust the length of the cable with your hands. You only need to make a winding on the cable between the places where the rest cable crosses the cable.

For a sub 15 minute video you put a TONNE of info there mate. At the end when you twist the string, do you find it helpful to shoot the string (even if peep is backwards) or does it settle pretty good straight away?

You know, 1000 grain arrows will keep your bow in tune forever. Your arrows are light and weak. Your bow secretly wishes it was my bow. It wants my thick, heavy arrows nocked on. 😂

😂 old man eyes suck ! I had to go to a verifier setup when i turned 50, it seem like over the course of 6 months i went from reading fine to blind as a bat, 1 pin turned into 5, ya might say just use the one in the middle ! But depending on how light is hittin the sight, sometime the middle 1 is the pin, sometimes not, sorry bro, its comin! Have never used magnification, but i can say other than the added weight of the verifier housing and looking like a donut in my string, i can see pins crisp and target as well, i start off looking at my pin but as it starts the float on the 10, my focus kinda looks thru the pin to the spot, and let the pin blur again, but while im focused on the pin its sharp, and when my focus switches to target its clear as well, when i first realised i was going freaking old man blind, i was terrified bout losing archery, went to an eye doctor, turned out the lady eye doc was an avid bowhunter and turned me on to the verifier, saved my life ! Great vid, bowhunt or nohunt !

Thank you for sharing. Is a bow always supposed to be accurate in regards to ATA and BH or is it normal for a bow to be somewhat off from the factory measurements?
