the red side only fits on any NOCO branded cables.

Both my motorcycle and RV use SAE connectors which are wired directly to the battery (with inline fuse, of course) This adapter allows me to float charge them with NOCO genius 1. I don't want to rewire for the native NOCO connector and loose the near universal SAE connection ability. SAE wired to cigar lighter port can use this free hanging external access to the battery without opening any panels/covers and drop in a usb charge port, power other accessories. The SAE connector is also native to my Harbor Freight solar panels and connection kit. I'm not sure directly connecting the solar panels to charge the bike for any length of time is a good idea, but at least it is a possibility. I also permits really bad ideas like connecting solar panels to my NOCO genius battery charger.
