The 90's had such great diversity of music it was hard not to have a variety of different CDs to jam to. Looking back it was truly a magical and unique decade. 😢 I miss those innocent days of just cruising and smoking and hanging with friends for hours with no distractions from the real world.

My fav no doubt song- i love how this is one of their more true ska influenced songs. I love how the song is fun, catchy, energetic, shifty (the melody changes and shifts a lot m, which i love, bc the song takes you different places). I have to confess, I was always calling myself "the enemy" at school, liking all the Modernist Soul and Rock'n'Roll revivalist bands, but didn't mind a bit of Goth, and ended up having a few Goth friends. Most of the friction at school, if any, to my mind, was based on anti-Thatcherism, denying wanting to let someone work, or some of my fellow Southerners being their own worst enemy. Though I have also liked bands such as No Doubt, which to my mind, are on the cusp of Ska and Punk. Or bands which are on the cusp of Ska and Rock'n'Roll.

90s pop as a whole took a lot more chances than todays pop music. The style, artistic talent and subject matter in songs hit way harder then. There's a ton of good new music out now too but not the pop. Pop is so plastic, synthetic, autotuned and safe. Its garbage. MTV used to play Marilyn Manson on TRL ffs
@DCProductions774 жыл бұрын
nah this is pop....pop music wasn't such an insult as it was now. Madonna was pop and she was all over the place. Pop was anything back then not rock, rap, jazz, country or gospel.
