Yeah I agree. If Noel truly thought that American culture wasn’t weaving its way into Britain in the 90’s then he was clearly blind. The influence of American culture back then was just as strong as it is now. Park life is a brilliant album that showcases British culture in a great light.

I used to have the kind of view that Noel expressed in the first segment of this video, but I got older and realised that Damon is an artist. You can still care about politics and want to make a difference in some way without actually becoming a politician. Popular music really up until the 2010s was one of the best ways of spreading your influence. Also Noel glosses over the fact that Blur wrote about a range of things not just politics
