@@TheMasterCylinder agreed. They're not even in the same universe. RS has wrote countless amazing songs and enormous catalog speaks for itself. Oasis never wrote anything that wasn't a retread of something another group already did better. He's lucky they came out in an era when labels were gobbling up any "alternative" band they could find. This guy should count his blessings every day that he's not a janitor or factory worker. His fame does not reflect his talent, or lack there of.

@@TheMasterCylinder Good god their not even comparable commercially or talentwise. RS has survived decades, some of his best work was with the Siouxie and the Banshees. I was in the states when The Cure were the second highest grossing band in the world, only Bon Jovi made more. Oasis could never reach out that far. Best thing about Mad Bob was that he doesn't crave attention or need to be in the publics face to promote himself or the band. That says a lot.

He makes a great point: people ask him what he thinks about an artist, and of course they want him to say that they are “amazing”. But he doesn’t have to think that. And he doesn’t have to say that. When Pete Townsend said he didn’t like Led Zeppelin’s music people lost their minds. Who cares if Pete or Noel like or dislike an artist?

He’s totally entitled to his opinion but what people don’t realise and what he doesn’t realise is that a lot of people base their opinions off of his. He needs to not be such a dick about people just because they’re more famous than him or more popular. He doesn’t have the same charm that he used to, to get away with it.
