Noel Gallagher quits Oasis

Can't believe it's over, I grew up with these guys. All everyone goes is, oh they were good for a few years, but they've had plenty of good stuff post wtsmg, just because it wasn't as lauded doesn't mean it was any worse.

I hope this is a storm in a teacup. I'm a huge Oasis fan and feel quite sad about the band splitting. If they're over I'm sure Noel will have a decent solo career. If Oasis continue without Noel I'm sure they will be dire... Good luck to them all anyway. I saw them at murrayfield this year, thank god for small mercys. They were brilliant. I'm not a fan of Oasis but from what i could see Noel was the heart of that band, so when it said "Noel has Quit Oasis" its not quite true, Oasis have split with the other members . Unlike Liam i think Noel will come out with something soon that might well be very good, free from the Oasis shackles he might well pull the rabbit out of the hat, as it were , just an outside opinion thats all, time will tell.

Noel Gallagher did not leave Oasis, only because he IS Oasis. The only thing that Noel can't do is pull off a Lennon-esque voice, but Liam can't even do that anymore. It was time for the band to split. It will be interesting hearing how Beady Eye will sound, since "Oasis" won't be writing for them.
